Zach looked at Eva's face and it clicked to him " you know the cause to what happened to those women". Eva nodded impressed that Zach was able to understand her so easily.
Eva explained further " When I was wearing the necklace I couldn't find it previously but once I removed it and concentrated the dark energy traces, I found the place which forced that women to the critical condition and there is another horrific thing I noticed, your whole clan has traces of dark energy".
Their were shocked gasps " though the traces are much less than pregnant women because they absorb dark energy fast and most easily as their body needs to feed two people and it's searches for nutritional energy around them and dark energy imitates the nutritional energy traces, which made absorption faster".
Zach's face was gloomy " this is the reason Lycan gene disappeared in our clan, but why does it affect the women living away from that cursed forest".
Eva's face became sad " it hurt her to know, once the place considered to be blessed by mother nature herself turned out like this".
Zach when saw her face, showed her an apologetic expression, she smiled showing her understanding to him.
Rudolf growled " let's go, Eva show us that place. I want to destroy the traces of that dark energy".
Eva hesitated " I am sorry Supreme alpha, but I can't allow you to go, I need few people which have least amount of dark energy and it's not you". Rudolf became angry and wanted to say something when Martha held his hands "it's time to work with brain not brawn, let the girl do what she think is safe. Clan welfare above everything else. That's what we pledged remember".
All clan men and women were collected together, Eva went to each of them and seperated them in three groups, first with least amount of dark energy, second with moderate and last with severe.
Last group was sent into quarantine which included Rudolf and Martha, which surprised everyone. Because the situation demanded this Zach was made temporary Supreme Chief which was no news for anyone as their was no one more worthy of this.
Taking five men which included Zach, Rat, Mouse, Marcus and a young boy Jacob. Other members were soon sent back to clan ground, while few remained as Eva whispered something to them, while those five went back to festival area. Standing in front of blessing stone she said you need to remove these stones and dig there.
Shocked eyes looked at her, it was an omen for the children as the blessing stone was built for them and destroying them was not good. Zach asked Eva " is their no other way".
Eva shook her head " I will prepare the solution with other clan member you have to purify yourself after this and for this area after ten years plant many tree here they will purify this place on its own, but for next ten years make this place no entry zone. So, everyone start digging.
Standing some distance away she saw them digging non stop after removing the blessing stones. When they heard the sound of hitting something they stopped. Eva called them " stop and move some distance away.
The whole group did that, Eva used her fairy dust to remove the carpet covering the source of dark energy. What they saw made everyone tear up, there laid five bodies of young children, specially wolf kids by the smell and they were slowly rotting away.
Eva went to her knees and prayed for their souls, followed by other five men, then with hardened face she said " now burn them".
Zach was shocked, in their whole clan burning of body was not considered the good way to let the soul rest in peace instead they were buried with few of their possession.
Zach asked her " is burning the only way". Eva nodded, they were all killed brutally after torture if you look at them closely you will notice this too. Which caused resentment to be built in their soul that made the dark energy more potent. Burning is the only way to free them. Don't worry the god above won't differentiate against their souls. They will have peaceful journey ahead".
Nodding all five men with more prayers let the body be burnt. They never left until it's over including Eva this showed their support in their journey as souls.
After that all five men were brought back to the same banyan tree and while they were working in festival ground other clan members worked to build a temper water body around the tree.
Eva explained to them " because of the sacrifice of this tree this area became blessed and the water around it is best for removing dark energy from all five of you. Because yours were recent contact it would be easily removed with bath but those people in quarantine need longer treatment same as those women. Because it's not urgent the trees will not be wasted, but it will be slow let me warn you".
Everything that happened in festival ground made the believes of clan on Eva much stronger and they were willing to listen her and accept her methods and another shift was their respect for nature increased multiple folds and more efforts were made to plant trees.
