Chapter 34 - Lost wanders of the world hidden in a shebeen

The room was filled with artefacts long lost in history. It was? A sort of city. There were avenues with dates and names, streets and so on yet where there should have been infrastructure were treasures. We walked along 1931 Novo Acordo do Salazar avenue and took a turn to Ebenezer street on the left.

"Subduction and deception is the core of my existence, much like women in ancient times - you know women are linked to me. Every need, desire, affair, seduction, blah, blah, blah is hard wired to me. So, when I change, a major number of women around the globe must adhere to my influence", she laughed.

"I decided that I could be what I wanted to be and not just some sexual desire for men. So I became a tradesman, argh, tradeswoman and built this, the history of human beings.", she said. "Huh?", a perplexed Makela sighed as she held back a comment. "that over there", Mami pointed at a bizarre object on Genes-Is street as we walked by, "yes?", I asked. "That's the same object Cain used to kill Able. I rarely see much of him these days, fascinatingly, his seeds have outnumbered those of Seth... well, it is written; in the last days...", she went on.

"Anyway, my change in attributes from what was given to me, and from what I wanted to be, provoked a global influence, this became about feminism, women equal rights and so on", she stopped and turned to us. "I'm not boring you, right?", "no", replied Makela immediately. "Come along, darlings", she proceeded walking. "You are similar to Eve", I said. "Who? Makaya? Ha-ha. We do have a lot in common and as you have noticed, you are in an archive of knowledge and intelligence, that is the same thing Eve desired", she stated.

"You see, dear baby Kufu. History is similar to different fingers pointing in the same direction. I mean, look at the fine job we have done with religion", she paused. she picked up an object, sighed and sorted it to its rightful place.  "We multiplied false doctrines, denominational teachings and there you go. Sheep turned into wolves. We even made Christians believe in, and celebrate Christmas. I at first thought it was a bad idea", she chuckled.

"I mean how can the masses be distracted by the events of the world for an entire year, and then, on the twenty-fifth of the twelve-month we make them celebrate a pagan holiday and while using the birth of the Messiah as an excuse. It worked!", she chuckled. "Oh. That's the remains of Saint Nicolas.

Over there", she pointed to her left on 1st Council of Nicaea 325 street.

"Religion?", I asked. "Yes, darling. Religion is how man fades away from the Living God. We even added Free Thinkers and Mentally Liberated Minds to spice things up but it's just another type of religion", she replied. "How so?"  I was curious. "Think about it. Religious people believe their doctrine is the way to truth and the rest is in vain, that they have found some sort of enlightenment and that they have to enlighten others into the doctrine. Right?", "right", I confirmed. "Freethinkers and the Conscious minded do the same thing", she said.

An abnormally large oak door led to the Tree of Good and Evil. The Tree of Knowledge, which, the seeds of Cain have used to rule the world. With knowledge of Good and Evil, Mami Watta could possess anything. The one thing she did not have was, "the Holy Grail, or, Scroll of Zayi. As it is originally called.", she completed my thought.

We stopped at 2nd Greece Babylon 1000 BC avenue. "This is the place", she said as she placed the Pandora's Box on the floor. The box floated to some sort of automatic sorting. She turned to us. Her gaze was bewitching yet catastrophic. She was every beautiful woman you might know in history, Delilah, Jezebel, Marilyn Monroe... "you have kept your part of the deal and brought this to me...", "not by choice", I muttered. "I heard that, darling. In return I offer you information", she smiled.

I was about to ask about the Beginning of what is to Come, and how we could prevail, however, all my doubts concerning my origin and the Apostles and our Creed flooded my mind. I felt at crossroads again. The worst place to be. I had to pull myself together. This was not about me. I, being here was not a coincidence. Makela held my hand, she sensed that I was tensed and her touch brought me back to Earth, or, where ever we were. I was grateful for having her.

She thought she needed me but it was the other way around. I chinned up, not bothered by my discomforting stubble. "How do we prevail?", I asked. "You can only prevail when you know thy enemy as you know thyself. This burden has fallen into your hands, son of Kufu. Do not attempt to impede the future, nevertheless, embrace it. Your foolishness will cause her sorrow", Mami pointed at Makela.

"You can only truly ascend when you find Self", she said to Makela. She returned to me "bear in mind; men of principle and order are blinded by morality. Remember, what is and what is true are not always the same. Remember, should you wish to know, be as empty as a cup that waiteth for water" she paused.

"For a full cup can never bear that which, is different to a kind of truth unfamiliar to yours… if you do so and let the permissive will unfold then it is to Kemet; eminence", said the Queen of Trade. Her voice was sympathetic. "I do not usually do this, I do possess a proclivity for provoking pandemonium", she confessed. "what do you mean?", asked Makela. "your family line stinks of Munssu…", she began.

"what!?", disbelieved clouded me through the void of not knowing my parentage, could it be true?

"before you choose to administer Deucalion's death", Mami Watta said his name as if he was some sort of varsity friend back in the day. "remember… that the revelation of your parentage rests with him".

"I…", your family line stinks of Munssu. What did it mean? I already knew the answer, howbeit, I had no courage to swallow the truth. "this could be a trick", suggested Makela. This in turn provoked Mami; do I strike you as ANANSI. Do I drape in the pungent of trickery! "tell us!", I sensed defiance in Makela's voice. I looked from one woman to the other. "what?", I asked. Makela suddenly brave, "she-", "SILENCE", Mami Watta interrupted her.

"you cannot silence me", barked Makela. I was once again in awe with Makela's repulsive bravery. "she was once a mortal… the most beautiful woman in the West. Her beauty enchanted man of great valour. Kings and vagabonds lusted her beguiling feature.", "quit…", "he weakness was equally what men desired of her, lust. She would ask men to help her in carrying her pot of water in return she would use her body as a reward".

For the first time I stared at Mami Watta and saw an exceptionally ordinary woman. "men lusted her body, but she, she lusted not the pleasure she received from these men. Her lust was death. She would kill every man she had slept with.", said Makela confidently. The eerie presence began to dim.

"driven in her madness, she had raped her younger brother and killed him after. there was justice, the weeping of a mother…", "that's not HOW IT HAPPENED. ANANSI TRICKED ME", bellowed Mami Watta. "I was cursed by the Red People for my beauty as a child", she confessed.

Mami Watta, now with the apparel of a mere mortal. "you have no clue what it's like. TO BE ADDICTED TO SOMETHING YOU CANNOT ESCAPE", she bellowed. "I can hear their voices, always. Constantly seeking retribution. A burden that I bear. "you are no victim! Anansi caught up with you-", "HE DEFILED ME WITH TRICKERY", "he revealed your nature. Who you truly are. Lady of the Lake. Is that not the meaning of your name?', spat Makela.

"MURDERER", bellowed Makela. Mami Watta exploded a deafening cry with such force it blew us.

Two sets of stygian blades emerged from either hand. She moved ferociously, a murderous glare defiled her emasculate face.

I managed to my feet and ran to Makela with the sphere in my right hand. As soon as I touched her, I pressed the sphere and teleported.
