Finally, the awaiting day has come for the Yashilan people, as prince Gabriel Weds Brianna Kumwenda, a nobody as others says.
Mrs Grace Kumwenda spent the whole night crying over her daughter's departure. She never imagined her marrying the kind of a group of people that she despise most. She feels fate has betrayed her.
Brianna's two grandmothers came three days ago for their granddaughter's big day. The Bulawayo people have all been invited to this big day, among them, is the king of their kingdom and the village chief of Bulawayo. kingdom Yachi accommodated them in his palace, but the villagers are spending days in Brianna's house.
Everyone was getting ready to go to church service. Michie will stand in as the bride maid, having been her best friend since childhood. Brianna doesn't look like someone who is getting married, she look so unhappy because her mother hasn't been in support. Since last night when it was her wedding night celebration, Mrs Kumwenda haven't seen anywhere around.
Unlike the prince who enjoyed his wedding night party with all his friends and family, Brianna's wonderful night was ruined by her mum.
On the other hand, Shelly mourn for the prince the entire night. She spent the night in a club, drinking until the guards went in search of her by the king's order and she was brought home. King Edmond and his queen quarreled the all night over Shelly's way of life. The king blame it on the queen for spoiling her to become like her.
They quarreled to the extent that the king raised his hand against the queen and slapped her. Elizabeth ran to her grandpa's room to cry, asking him, why it is so, between her mum and dad. Knowing very well what he did in the past, when he forced his son on marrying the princess, Mr Imakando senior, rolled tears. Tears kept rolling uncomfortably until when the maidens who takes care of him, put him to bed.
Shelly and Manoah are now working together as partners with the same aim, to separate Brianna and Gabby. They have made a strong team, ready to destroy the wedding, even if it takes, killing the Innocents souls who will be found there.
Their source of information about the venue and how everything is going, is princess Helena.
"Mr Yosef saw the tragidy coming. He did not sleep, only meditating over what he saw in spirit. Till this morning, Mr Yosef came out from his room very late to check on the prince who was dressing up in the dressing room.
"May I come in?"
"Grandpa, Yosef, come in."
"Good morning, grandpa." Pumulo and Lawrence greeted him at once and he replied with a good morning.
"You look very good in that royal combat."
He wore a royal leagaria. "Grandpa, you are not dressed up, yet?"
Yosef sigh, "I have to stay back and fight this battle for you."
"What battle, sir?" Lawrence asked.
"The evil ones are already executing their plans to ruin the wedding. I have to stay back to fight them.
These words terrified them all, that where in the room.
"Don't worry about me, just go, everything will be alright." patted on Gabriel's shoulder. He watched them leave then he went back to the room he was given to spend the night in by his majesty.
People have already gathered at church, the groom has now arrived but the bride is still home. Brianna is still in the room, crying, her mother didn't want to meet her. She has locked herself in the room, although her mother and mother in law have tried to plead with her to just give her daughter the blessings of a mother, so that she could finally be happy, but Grace refused.
"You need to stop crying, Brianna. Look, you are ruining your make-up, please stop crying." Cindy and the rest of her Best friends pleaded with her.
"Listen my dear, your mother will one day forgive you, you are still her daughter." said Mrs Kumwenda, her grandmother.
"I always dreamed to have my mother by myself, as I walk the aisle, grandma. I didn't know that today, when I will be getting married to the man I love, my mother won't be with me." She Cried even more. Grace was eavesdrop, behind the closed door, she cried and run back to the bedroom.
The groom was already at the alter, waiting for the bride, for over 30 minutes now. People have even started gossiping about it. Gabriel is really nervous now and very worried of what might happen to her. prince pumulo walked out, trying the bride's line, but it was off, he tried for the bride maid, Michelo and it was off too. So he went back inside and inform Lawrence about their lines being off.
Now panic grow in prince Lawrence and also in the king and queen. Seeing everyone in such panic made princess Helena to smile. She thought maybe manoah had kidnapped her. Under the church bench, she removed her phone and texted Princess Shelly about the current situation and asked if manoah managed to kidnap her, but she received no reply.
Manoah and his men are made confused of the place where the wedding is held, by yosef's natural powers and so did Shelly. He made sure he keep them on search for a place.
Helena was in shock when she saw Brianna entering the door of the church. She thought it was a dream, yet it was happening. Now she was the one in panic. She can't go out to make a call, now that the bride is in, everyone will suspect her. Moreover, the media is present to capture any movement. She was forced to stay in, only texting Shelly who wasn't replying because she got the phone in her bedroom. She tried to call manoah who as well couldn't respond.
The bride is now standing next to the groom. The pastor have even started the ceremony, but Shelly was no where to be seen.
Dr Marcos was sitting behind as the ceremony went on. His eyes were filled with tears that he kept using his handkerchief.
"Please put yourself together, people are watching you." Doctor Christine, whisper to his ear.
Brianna's mother came a long time ago, she stood outside, listen to everything that was happening inside the church. She cries when the vows were exchanged between the two people. When the questioning was over, the rings exchanged, Pastor now declared them husband and wife. It happened at a time of kissing the bride that Manoah's men, together with him, covered in a mask shows up. Grace who was outside spotted them first, she run to the door behind to inform the police who were guarding the place. By the time she reached there, the men had already find their way in and pulled the triggers.
It was commotion in church now that everyone was running for their lives. Manoah enters through the other side door that everyone didn't expect and point the gun, straight on the prince. Mrs Grace spot him on time, she run and push down , both the prince and Brianna, with a shout of her daughter's name. The bullet over passed them and hit the guard who was guarding the door, opposite to where manoah shot from.
Everyone screamed fearfully, they hide in benches. The police sirens threaten all the thugs to escape.
After that, the ambulance was called that rushed the injured guards to the hospital. Three of them where injured. The ceremony ended there and then. Brianna was so happy to see her mother, she hugged her tighter and weep. Grace hug her back after a life hesitation. Now everyone was happy for her, that finally her dream have come true.
Outside the church, they hugged once again. Now is the time for the newly wed to go to the honeymoon. Brianna hugged with friends, joyfully, but when it came to her brother and the little sister, it turn into tears.
"I love you Brianna." Vanessa spoke as she pulled from the hug.
"I love you too, take of mum, and yourself, ok." She kept wiping tears.
She nod innocently an then moved back to Michie who hold her by the hand. Daniel didn't even want to look at her. when she moved close, he turned his face the other way, avoiding eye contact. He didn't want her to see his tears, but she insisted until she was able to pull him in a hug. "Please don't cry, I'm not going to die."
As a gentleman he is, he wiped his tears quickly, "I'm not crying. Take care of yourself. Prince Gabriel is a good man, he will look after you very well." He also hugged the prince and then give way to others to bid her farewell hugs, Which they did.
Mrs Grace blessed them both finally, "Please take care of my daughter. She is my eye. If you dare to miss treat her, I will never forgive you." in a tearful tone she spoke.
"I promise to take care of her."
They were blessed also by the king and queen and they left, as everyone watched and waving at them.
