Gabriel has at last gain his strength. He is going home, after two weeks of been hospitalized. The royal cabinet, chiefs and the Nobles are all gathered at the palace to celebrate with them on the coming of prince Gabriel.
Prince Lawrence and his cousin are the ones who had gone to pick up the young prince with a group of guards. Gabriel was sitting on hospital bed, waiting for them that are coming to pick him when the door flow open, his brother and cousin came in.
"Hey buddy, you are going home, get up get up." Pumulo taunting him, as they've always been.
He chuckled. "Count yourself, very lucky that I'm still not very stable."After the joke, they pulled in a hug.
"I missed you, man." Pumulo confessed.
"I missed you too."
Lawrence was standing by, smiling as he watched the cousins hug. They let go and then Gabriel shift his eyes to his elder brother, guiltly.
"I'm very glad you are ok." Lawrence said
"Thank you."
"Shall we go?" Lawrence asked. The guards already took his bags in the car when Gabriel called his brother back.
"Bro, can we talk?"
"Sure.
Gabriel then took a step ahead and give his brother a hug, so passionate. "I'm sorry for everything. Lord brother, I'm so sorry, I had disrespected you more than enough."Tear rolled down. He pulled out and said again, while looking at him. "Punish me, as much as you want, I deserve It, i accept the punishment.
Lawrence kept silent for a while, not believing that it is indeed his brother speaking. In joy, he pulled him back in a hug, "I am proud of you, very proud of you. You are my brother and always will be."
They stayed in each other's arms for a while then after that, they pulled out with a smile at each other. The three of them hugged again, while getting giggling. Quickly they separate.
" Let us go, the people must be waiting, curiously at the palace." pumulo spoke. They shake hands with the doctor, then they left to the car. When they where about to enter the car, Gabriel stopped by the door, thinking.
"My prince, is everything alright?" The guard hold the door open for him, asked, shortly prince Lawrence asked him.
"Are you ok?"
"I want to see Brianna, I really miss her. Can you take me there? I need to see her."
Pumulo and Lawrence looked at each other then Lawrence speak, "get in."
He entered the car and sit next to him, Lawrence.
"I suggest you wait, before you decide on visiting Brianna at her palace. Her mother is still angry with you and also the her community people over what you did, I hope you understand?"
Sighed, Gabriel. "You are right. I almost forgot that I haven't been a good person lately.
Brianna heard about his discharge, she celebrated it at home, in her heart. With her, it doesn't matter whether she will be there to receive him or not. what matters to her is that he is back home in good health.
she stayed the whole day at the restaurant, smiling as she does work. Her mother kept wondering the reason behind this smile, when she's been behaving strange, always gloomy, for the past two weeks.
"You smile alot today, did anything happen?" She asked.
in failing to answer, she turned a look at Michie, also looked at Daniel, then back to her, "Nothing mum. I'm just happy with the sale of today."
Daniel and Michie looked at each other and almost burst into laughing, but they hold their laughters, avoiding being questioned.
They waited until Mrs Kumwenda went out to attend to a customer, when they blast out in laughs.
"Brianna you are becoming an expert in lying." Michie said.
"Yes sis, you can even make excuses for yourself, without the chieftness help." Daniel tease Michie, the master plan of every lies she has ever told.
Michie and Daniel begin their fighting and giggling.
"Stupid boy. She said.
"Oh, princess Brianna, ma'am, please remember us in your kingdom." bow for her in teasing.
"Michie, Daniel, behave yourself. It isn't funny, you know." She gave them a long face.
"Awe.... They shout at once, and then burst in laughing.
Mrs Kumwenda came at that moment, "Why are you making such noise?"
With this question, they all keep quiet.
The people gathered in the palace where in great joy, cracking jokes and laughing when the princes Shows up. The female master of ceremony, in her 30s climb up the podium and speak through the mic, "attention everyone. The awaiting moment has finally come, prince Gabriel is here, please stand up and welcome him with a round of applause!"
Everyone raise with thunderous appluase as the princes approached. Because he couldn't stand for too long due to medical condition, now that he's just been discharged, the people where the one following him to his sit with their greetings and
"Welcome back home, prince charming." Slight pinch on his cheeks as she had been doing when teasing him, since he was a little boy.
"Eish aunty, I'm no longer your little boy you use to taunt." He smiled
"Nonsense! Absolutely, nonsense. You are still my little prince." Embrace him.
They hugged a little longer before pulling out, then his mother approached him, looking a beat afraid of what he might say to her in public. She stared back at everyone and smiled shamefully before she could say anything to him. "Welcome back home, son."
Gabriel felt the uncomfortably of his mother, towards him. Looking into her eyes, he saw her fears for him. He almost shed a tear, but everyone was looking at him so he hold them back, by turn away his face to avoid eye contact with her.
He extended his look to the king who stood a little bit distant, it pieced deep in his soul to know the uncomfortably he had inflicted in his patients.
in struggling, he pulled himself up from the couch with the help of a guard who stands beside him. Everyone watched him walk to the podium in wonder of what he was doing. They watched him take a mic from the master of ceremony and waited to hear what he has to say.
"Greetings everyone."
Everyone respond to his greeting and he proceeded.
"I want to thank everyone who borrowed little from their time, to this place, just to celebrate my coming back home, thank you. But my many reason to why I stand here, in front of you is to..." He pause for a breath out. "The many reason is t_to pass my apology to my parents, His royal majesty, king Yachi as well as queen Essa Yachi, my mother, for everything I had done.
He continues,
"I had disgraced you before all of you, his cabinet, as well as your subjects at large." He walk down from the podium with a mic in his hand. Approaching the king, he stopped a step away from where he was standing, shockingly. He kneel before him and said, "Your majesty, I do not deserve to be called your son, because I'm not worthy of a son to a dignified man, good hearted and a powerful king as you. Please, take me as any person you may want. I am ready to accept whatever sort of punishment you decide to give me today, for being a stupid son. For ruining your reputation." So he remained on his knees, with his head bow, waiting for the king to decide.
This was really a shock to everyone, and the least thing they expected of him. Admitting his mistakes, is in his character . Helena, Mr Mandela and Pumulo where the most shocked, they stayed with him since he was 5, but not a single day had he admitted to his wrongs in such humility, Then what happened? Something must be wrong somewhere.
It was after a while of emotional shock recovery that the king had something to say to him. " Stand up." Sigh. "What can I say, this has really come unexpected. What you have done today has proved that you are indeed a son of mine. I am so, very proud of you today as you father." Pulled him in the embrace.
He spot his mum, standing behind the king and he stretched his hand towards him. She came and joined in the hug an so did the rest of the family. His brother, auntie, uncle and his cousin. This really turned out to be the best moment, ever, for the Yachi family.
