Brianna opened the eyes in a room she has never been into. She felt heavy at her right hand side, then she turned to see why it was so heavy, only to found Gabriel's head leaning on it .She jumped up fearfully stared at herself in clothes that doesn't belong to her then she checked her self that maybe he took advantage of her when she was unconscious. She was shocked when she find out that he didn't do anything with her, she sighed and moved his arm away, slowly until she managed without awaken him and walked outside. Standing by the door way, she saw 5 people having breakfast in a hut. An old man and woman, in their 70s , one young boy about 8, a young lady of about her age and a man same age range as Gabriel. She kept staring at happy family without making a move. The boy now have seen her and let everyone know, "Look grandma, the lady is awake."
Everyone turned towards her. Beatrice hurried to receive her , "You are awake. My name is Beatrice." Stretch fourth a handshake.
She hesitated before she could shake in. "Brianna."
"You have a nice name, come, join us." Hold her by hand and they walked to the hut.
"Welcome my dear, please take a sit and have breakfast with us." Madam Melanie.
She slowly sit down on a mat, staring fearful.
"You don't have to be afraid, my dear, we are not dangerous." Yosef perceived the fear in her heart.
Beatrice, cheerfully bring her porridge, "Here, have this, it will help you gain strength."
"Thank you, but I'm not really hungry."
" Oh, come on Brianna. We are not endanger to your life, we are a decent family. This is my grandpa, Yosef, grandma, Melanie, my elder brother, Joseph and right here is my handsome little nephew, Maxwell." She made an introduction.
"He is also here, look." Max shout and everyone shift their looks at Gabriel, standing by the door way as well. As soon as she saw him, Brianna stood up and run after him, harassing him. "Take me back home, you devil!" beating on him, he grip hold her hands.
"Stop it!" He shout.
"Stop it, both of you!" Intervene, Joseph. "Miss please calm down."
"I want to go home, he will have to take me back to my family, right now!" Continued, Brianna, harassing him while sobbing.
"Do you think I'm also happy to be stuck, here with you, huh?" yell on her face, angrily.
The wrangle continued, until Mr Yosef raised his voice that silenced them all. "Enough both of you! How will you find your way back if you continue like this?"
No one answered...
"Young lady, Will you be patient with young man?"
"It's not that I really want to spend the rest of my life with her, because she is not my class, and I don't care about her!" Gabby speak rudely.
"And you are be the least person I would want to end up with. Infact not even the least! You are the wast person ever!" Brianna speak her mind without any atom of fear, nor care.
"How dare you!!" He raise a hand to slap her, which Yosef got grip before it reaches her.
The rest of the family were shocked and only hold their mouths. Men are not to raise their hands on women in this compound.
"That is a taboo, in this compound. No man raises even a finger against a woman!"Scolded him.
"Even as worthless as her? Questioned. Listen old man, I don't care who you are and what you think, but I'll not hind to your orders. No one bosses me aroun, you hear?" Yell on his face without an atom of respect. Everyone could not believe, how rude and disrespectful this stranger is. Brianna, too didn't believe the level of his disrespect.
" Then You both can't stay in this compound." Then Brianna looked at him with sorrowful eyes.
"Fine, we are leaving. Just show us where to board a bus, we are going home." Made a turn to leave, "If you want to remain here, you are at liberty."
Brianna looked back at them remorseful, but uttered no word than to follow him.
"Grandpa, you know for sure that a boats or a train only passes once twice, at the beginning of a month and at the end of the month. Today is the second day of the month, the bus passed yesterday, which means only on the 31st Of this months it will pass."
"Let them go." After these words he turned back and entered the house. When he give orders, no one act in the opposite.
Beatrice felt for Brianna and so did Mrs Yosef.
The two walked silent. Gabriel is walking ahead, while Brianna was following him behind to where they don't know.
The kingdom of Bayani are expecting their crown princess today. The chiefs and the wise men are gathered at the palace, waiting for her to arrive, from the airport where the guards went to pick her up. In more than an hour, 7 of the royal convoys Hooter as they entered the royal compound. The entire crew of Chief, elders, the king and queen and also their young princess gathered outside to receive her.
As they parked, the guards hurried and opened the door for the princess maidens lined up with flowers to pour on her red carpet as she walked up to the king with his team.
"Daddy!" Fell into a hug.
"Oh princess." Hug her tight then Pulled out to look at her face. "You have grown alot my dear."
She then turned to embrace her mum and sister then shift to greeting elders, chiefs and wise men. After greetings, they all walked inside to a table of feast and they ate and drink in celebrating the princess.
Back to Yashilan, prince Lawrence addressed the angry mob assuring them to find Brianna and the prince before the end of the month. They went back with his words, waiting for his words to come to pass. Manoah has already sent his men to search for Brianna and the prince without the knowledge of everyone. His plan is to kill the prince when they find them and bring Brianna back to him. Now that the people influenced to cause chaos has backed out, he took another trial to influence Grace to attack the royal house for her daughter's disappearance.
Mrs Grace Kumwenda is causing scandal outside the castle. fighting with the guards to be let in, but they are too powerful for her. "Prince Lawrence, come out!" Yelled. "Come out and face me!"
Her shout was heard by the royal family who where sitting together discussing on how they will look for Gabriel. Lawrence stands up immediately, "that's Brianna's mother. Excuse me." walk out.
As Soon as she sees him, she push the guard with all her might, out of the way and attacked the prince. "You animal! hitting him. "You have sacrificed my child! I told you to stay away from her!" Continued harassing him.
The royal family came out just on right time, "Hey guards, take this crazy woman out from this place!" Princess Helena shout.
Hearing these words, Grace drifted her anger towards Princess Helena. "You are so shameless, woman. How dare you calling me crazy." Stood up at her fearless.
Hellen, looking straight into her eyes she replied, "You are the shameless one for bugging in to this castle with such allegations."
Grace lost it this time than she gave her a hot slap on her left cheek. Everyone screamed in shock.
Helena raised a hand to slap her back, but the king hold it back. "What are you doing, Helena?"
"No one lay a finger on me lord brother, especially a woman as filthy as her!"
"Oh, you say filthy? Great, " She reached to her sleeve, almost to choke her, "You call us filthy but my filthy daughter you want for sacrifice, you evil people!"
Helena almost to answer back, but the king Scolded her and she went back inside.
"Madam, we know we are at wrong, but that doesn't give you the right to insults us. Giving us such names!"
prince Lawrence intrudes, "It's ok, Highness". Get in the way. "My queen, take him inside, let me talk to Mrs Kumwenda alone."
They excused him, so he pleaded with her to give them time to look for Brianna and bring her back to her.
"If anything happens to my daughter, I will sue the royal household and this i mean it."
Where they went to, Brianna and Gabby discovered the shocking truth that the only source of transport they have here, are boats and that they only sail twice a month at the end of the month and at the beginning. Brianna couldn't stop crying of this long await to go back to her family. They fought all the way back to a place they where chased after hearing the dangers of wondering at night. There are animals that attack people at night and that's why it is not advised to stay out at night. At a time they reached back to Yosef's compound, the night had approached.
Beatrice spotted them and so she run to welcome them, then everyone realized.
"Thank God you came back. Its dangerous out there."
Non of the two had anything to say after the morning incident.
Gabby turned his face down shamefully after eyes met with Yosef's.
"Melanie, take them to their room." He ordered the wife.
"Come with me." walk ahead.
Brianna followed behind but Gabriel remained standing.
"You too, sir." Joseph told him and he followed without any argument.
Mrs Melanie opened a hut for them.l, "This is a visitor's home. you will stay here until the day you will decide to go back where you came from, please feel free. Food will be shared with you."
"Hold on ma'am, "Does this mean we will be sharing a room?" Asked Brianna.
"That's right."
"But madam, I am female, and he is male."
"Is this a way of chasing us." Gabby asked. "You know for sure that we are opposite sex who aren't married to each other, just found ourselves together by mistake, and now you want to be using one room? Oh , come on, be serious!" He went on talking.
"Mum please, reconsider, I can't be in the same room with him."
"I'm sorry my dear, but this is how it is done." Walk out,. leaving them standing idle.
Brianna slowly sit back on the broken sofa in tears. The bed is there with blankets, but how will they sleep on one bed?
Gabriel stare around the room in disgusting. "I can't spend a night in this sticking place, no." He walked out in the dirk, but run back as soon as he heard some moving grasses. He is always afraid of the dirk. He pushed a door back fearfully expecting Brianna to be afraid, but he is surprised to see her still folded herself on the floor crying.
Now he is more guilty, and didn't know what words to say to her, for comfort. He sighed and grab one sheet from the bed, which he disgustingly stare, carrying it with tips of his fingers. "You can sleep on bed, I will try to fold myself in this damn sofa."
She decides not to say a single word, but continued sobbing.
"I said move, I want to sleep."
"You are the so called prince, you can sleep on the bed, I don't care." She rudely stood up and grab the sheet beds from him and covered herself on the couch.
"Why are you this stubborn?" He asked and she didn't answer him.
The day was exhausting for Princess Shelly, she wanted to rest her exhausted body, but the mind couldn't allow her. she couldn't stop thinking why Gabriel hasn't been picking her calls and why he decide to switch it off now.
She sat on bed in her night attire, lost in thoughts, when a call came from Princess Helena, with no single hesitation, she picked the call. "Auntie Helena, did you happen to see Gabby and asked him why he switched off his phone?"
"Calm down, my dear. Gabby was abducted by unknown pulper, a female for that matter. You need to be here tomorrow."
"That's not possible, Aunty. No one could abduct my Gabby so early, that I know for sure. And talking of a woman, that's impossible! What's going on?"
"Just come tomorrow, I will tell you everything." She disconnected.
Panic grow in the princess heart, she wished for a day to come quickly.
