Chapter 1 - The Blind Reader

Silence

That is the current situation of the library in the Capital of Polemos

That silence was broken by the sound of book page flipping and a voice that was as pleasant as the whistle of the birds rang.

"Young Master, This is the 71st time that I read this to you. Are you sure that you want this again?-". Looking at a young boy that has closed eyes, white hair, and a chubby face, A young woman wearing a Victorian maid outfit said.

Before the young maid finish her sentence, The young boy nodded as if knowing what she's gonna say.

Looking at the head of the young boy that was going up and down, the young maid yielded with a sigh. After her long sigh, she smiled and read the book with a voice so magnetic that it seems like you're gonna be pulled into another world.

"Cultivation -The reason for cultivation isn't always because of Immortality or Cultivating Buddha. The act of Defiance, The Act of Rebellion to the Heavens, and The act of Destroying the limit that was upon our species, This isn't the thing that started cultivation. Then what was it? Why was the method of defying our fate created? I was curious about the answer to that question. Who was I? I was the owner of the Primordial Door of Space and Time and I was called the Saint of Eternity. So I asked the first cultivator, Dao[1] Jing Min, and he answered with a thunderous laugh and roared, {Cultivation?! What is that! The Act of Defying the Heavens!? I Created this so-called cultivation because I want the power to Destroy the one who killed my Father! I want to slaughter his tribe just like he slaughtered mine!}.

I was not satisfied with his answer so I erased his memory of me and ask the one who created the path of Qi Refining, Guang Heng, and he answered me with a smile yearning for something, {Oh this? I formulated a future path and spread it? The one that you are speaking about does not sound like me. I created this because I want to kill everyone.} after he said that he chuckled softly.

Again, I was not satisfied so I traveled through all of the time and I got different answers. After that, I contemplated and asked myself. What is the answer that I am looking for? Why was I not satisfied with the answers of my progenitors?

Two Epoch has passed and I got the answer. What was it?

I was not satisfied because that was not the intention I cultivated. So I activated the Primordial Door of Time and Space to enter the Room of Stillness, I used all my cultivation to power this treasure until I created my path. Two Era has passed and I recultivated over and over again until I created my path and since I have all the time in the world, I created an Eternal Manual. I named this manual the "Eternal Template of Dao". I spread this method and recreated the world of fixed paths! I was once the Saint of Time seeking answers to my Dao but now? Who am I?

I have no title and I don't to be known by other names.

I am Dao Theodore Time, The Creator of {Eternal Template of Dao} "

As the maid finished her last sentence, A rather loud imposing voice toll inside the Library.

"SOLON ALDRIC VON BARRON!, How many times! How many times did I have to tell you to not run out of the house! How many times do I have to tell you and remind you that you are blind!"

The voice repeated across the whole library, shaking the books and the silence inside it and although the young boy's name was called out, rather loudly. Solon and the young maid didn't even seem surprised and were rather nonchalant about it as if, this was a rather frequent occurrence.

The sounds of repeating and hurried footsteps approach Solon. Just when the clang of the sword was near Solon, the young boy faced the direction of the sound and smiled like a practiced play performed by actors. Solon stood up, bowed 90 degrees with a back straight, hand to the side, eyes at the floor, and said in a mature tone yet cute voice" Father, I have Mother's permission and her maid accompanying me. I have finished all of the classes for this day too and since you were educating brother about the ways of War, I have not been able to notify you about my leave. I plead for forgiveness."

Seemingly surprised at the quick greetings and apology of his son, Solon's Father stopped his track. The boy's father looked at the perfect posture and response that his son have given him and thought to himself. ' Pity, If the Heavens were not so cruel to take away his sight with his supreme comprehension, He could've dominated the whole empire '

The thought of Solon's Father just occurred in a second of time as he looks at his son and sighs.

"Come! We are going back into the Mansion and no more going out this time, I shall let the Masters of Calligraphy copy the whole collection of book that you have not read in this library into our ancestral library so that you shall have no excuse of going out."

Evidently surprised that his father said those words, Solon was going to refute and give an excuse until he felt his father sternly staring at him. Like a general losing a battle, Solon just opens his beautiful yet unfocused black eyes and sighs resignedly.

"As you command, Father"

Genuinely satisfied with the loss of his son, He picked up the small 5-year-old boy Solon carried him out of the library. The young maid follows the father and son out of the library.

As the footsteps rang out.

Silence once again resume its existence.
