"It hurts so much... how can I stand..." The man was breathless and he still held his ribs.
Huan Shikang pulled the man, made him stand up. "Auch!" He screamed aloud.
"Now your standing position is more upright than before. Am I right?" Huan Shikang commented.
Observing her husband, his wife's eyes went round in surprise. "That's right! You still bent over when going up to the podium, but your standing position is more upright than before!"
The old man appeared cheerful, he hailed loudly. "Wow! That's right! Wonderful, Grandmaster! I have completely recovered! You are truly the revived Hua Tuo!"
The audience cheered loudly, giving Suo Junhuan applause. Zhu Su could only gape after watching such "amazing attraction".
"Next patient!" De Ta called.
A granny carried her little grandson which was perhaps only ten years. The boy had his eyes closed. He evidently was visionless.
"Do you want to treat your grandson's eyes, Ma'am?" De Ta asked the woman. She nodded.
"Yes, Grandmaster. My grandson has been visionless since birth. All physicians we asked for help have given up. Is there still any hope for recovery?"
"How many physicians have you visited, Ma'am?" Huan Shikang asked.
"Tens already! We have even visited the physician who often treats the officials, but in the end, he still failed!"
Huan Shikang stared closely at Suo Junhuan. "Well, Master Ren, can you cure him?"
Suo Junhuan still remained silent. Until a few minutes later, when he opened his mouth and said, "Yes."
The entire audience shouted in amazement. Huan Shikang nid-nodded, so satisfied. "Great, Master Ren! Let's do it!"
Suo Junhuan smiled awkwardly, then took a needle which was in the same length as the one he used before. Zhu Su's eyes turned much wider, he even gawked as he saw Suo Junhuan pointed the needle towards the boy's eyebrow, was about to insert it. "My goodness! Don't tell me that he wants to insert such a very long needle to Jingming point!" Once again Zhu Su cut the line and a man in front of him soon scolded angrily. This time he had been in the first row, could see everything without being blocked; and was dumbfounded as he watched Suo Junhuan inserted the needle right above the canthus (the inner corner of the eye, where the upper and lower lids meet). The insertion was not as deep as the old man's, but it still looked scary. Yet the boy did not scream as the old man did. His perseverance to endure the pain astonished Zhu Su.
Soon after, Suo Junhuan pulled out his needle. He asked, "How is it, Boy?"
The boy blinked.
"Looks like it's not as dark as before," He answered.
The boy's grandmother yelled in happiness. "Your eyes slightly open, my boy!"
"Waw, really! Master, you are so fantastic!"
"Long live Grandmaster! You can cure the boy!"
The entire audience hailed one more time. Zhu Su himself, still stared closely at the podium.
"If he continues this treatment routinely, he will surely be able to see," Suo Junhuan said. The audiences became more uproarious than before.
"Your Highness!" Wu Qi called in a whisper.
Startled, Zhu Su turned behind, "Well... I am watching Suo Junhuan and his treatment style..."
"This Suo Junhuan... is a real expert!"
"Yes... but his treatment method is very dangerous!"
Zhu Su's face looked agitated. Yet he still kept watching the show of Suo Junhuan's treatment. He continued his treatment for three next patients; a half-body palsied man, a woman with a terrible big bump on her neck, and an old man who got food poisoning. Treating those three patients Suo Junhuan also used the method which was the same terrible as before. Especially for the woman, he used percussopunctator since he intended to regulate the blood's circulation and got rid of the stagnation which became toxin in her body, especially in the neck. However, the percussopunctator used by Suo Junhuan was not the normal percussopunctator with tiny needles, this one was full of long, thick needles, and all of them were just like the knife. Therefore, when he did the treatment, her blood spurted out as if she had been stabbed with a sword, let the female audiences soon cried in queasiness.
"Alright! Let's call it a day! We will continue this tomorrow!" Huan Shikang announced the end of their treatment activity today. The audience reacted differently; some were grateful, some shouted disappointedly because they did not have the chance to get treated.
"Too bad! Why do you only accept five people as patients? There are still many sick people who need Grandmaster's help!" Those disappointed people shouted miserably.
"Actually I would like to get more patients... but unfortunately, we can't. The government burdens us!"
"The government burdens you?! How can they burden the virtuous people?!"
"But what else can we do... Isn't government work always like that? Righteousness is being oppressed and burdened, and the ones who always get the best are the bad ones!" Huan Shikang let out a harsh breath, appeared very upset. He stepped down. "Alright! Let's call it a day! We must hurry. Staying here longer will make the government catch us!"
As Huan Shikang, De Ta, and Suo Junhuan stepped down the podium, the audiences shouted - their shout was a mix of disappointment, complaint, and even scold and curse.
"Damn! Why does the government always oppress people?!"
"Grandmaster! You always say the same words from long ago! All of you have done good all this time, how come your kindness isn't appreciated by the government?!"
"How cruel our government is! From the beginning they have the heart to oppress small people, now they burden good people who want to help the small people! Geez, they will get very bad karma!"
"Never mind, Grandmaster! Just let the government do as they like! Please continue your treatment! If they threaten you, then we will protect you!"
The shout of a hefty middle-aged man immediately got a hyperbolic response from his surroundings. They all screamed, "Definitely, Grandmaster! Just continue! We support you!"
Huan Shikang smirked widely. "Then, dear Kaifeng people... become our followers. We are planning something very fantastic and extraordinary, and we need your help to accomplish it."
Zhu Su had tensed up from the beginning, and Huan Shikang's words made his anger explode it even reached his crown. His both fists clenched tightly as he was consumed by his anger. Nevertheless, he still went calm, advised his mind not to be overwhelmed and thus did something harmful for him. He still paid close attention to Huan Shikang and his cronies who were giggling and put tearful faces, and shouted, "Thank you very much for your support! Thank you, my dear people!"
My dear people?!? This man... can he be?!
Huan Shikang and his cronies had left the city hall, and the audiences also started to scatter away. The sun had changed its color to pink-orange. The sunset wind which was cold in autumn began to blow hard. But Zhu Su still stood there, his standing position was still the same as before. So was the hard facial expression he showed.
"Your Highness..." Wu Qi called in a soft voice. Wu Qi, Qu You, and Liu Ku had been truly worried about him. Until finally Wu Qi decided to call his lord, "Your Highness... I will arrange the San Hu Wei to arrest them on charges of defaming the government." Wu Qi was the supreme commander of San Hu Wei, Zhu Su had granted him this position shortly after the Fan Wang was inaugurated.
Slowly, Zhu Su replied. "Yes. I want all of them to be arrested... as soon as possible..." His jaw hardened, his brows furrowed in anger, and he shouted, "I want them all arrested and interrogated on charges of public duping in health issues!"
