Two years have passed since the battle between Lucas and The Scarlet Maiden. However, Lucas didn't wake up from the recoil of essence he suffered from using the skill [ETERNAL VOID]. And most of the blood vessels in his body were broken.
[The Rosewarth Castle][Morning]
Lucas's mother opened the windows and sat beside her son.
"Only two days left before the awakening ceremony, the Scarlet family will be there," Lady Evylin put her hand on Lucas's head.
"You are up early today," Lord Rosewarth entered the room.
"Yeah, I got a feeling that Lucas will wake up soon," Lady Evylin looked at Lucas with hopeful eyes.
"Don't worry. Our son will keep his promise," Lord Rosewarth bent down and kissed Lucas's forehead.
[Knock, knock] sound of knocking came from the door.
"Who's is there?" inquired Lord Rosewarth.
"Sire, the people from the main family are here asking for Lord," the messenger replied.
"I am coming," replied Lord Rosewarth with a annoyed expression.
"They came so fast, be careful around those old freaks," Lady Evylin spoke in a low voice.
"They must have found out about Lucas's condition, those damn old geezers," Lord Rosewarth got up and made his way towards the door.
"Lucas will wake up, keep them away, don't let them see our weakness," Lady Evylin spoke as she looked at her son.
"I know," replied Lord Rosewarth before leaving the room.
[Nine months earlier]
Even though Lucas was in a coma, his body went through a drastic change. The ruptured blood vessels never healed on their own. However, the essence in his body depleted over time. Lord Rosewarth kept it a secret from others. He spread a piece of false news that Lucas is training in isolation.
Lord Rosewarth searched for medicines and elixirs to prevent the essence from depleting in Lucas's body. But, his search to save his son's future ended in vain. Many healers tried to heal Lucas, but his body rejected their abilities.
However, things began to change after a few months. It was the old alchemist Eric who noticed the change first while examining Lucas. He called Lord Rosewarth and explained everything.
"Are you sure?" inquired Lord Rosewarth.
"Yes, my Lord, Young Master Lucas's body is showing some remarkable change," the old alchemist spoke in amazement.
"Changing, in what way?" asked the Lord with a curious voice.
"There is not a single amount of essence, but his body is showing no sign of abnormalities,"...[pause] the old alchemist opened Lucas's shirt.
"This is, how is this possible," Lord Rosewarth leaned forward to examine.
In three months, the muscles in Lucas's body looked like the body of a highly trained fighter who trained for years to achieve that fitness.
"I don't know how but he is evolving without the use of essence," the old alchemist replied in amazement.
"As long as he wakes up....," paused Lord Rosewarth seeing the old alchemist smiling in joy.
"Why are you laughing?" the Lord stood up in anger.
"The Sea of Consciousness," the old alchemist's voice trembled in excitement.
Hearing this word Lord Rosewarth inquired in a deep tone, "Are you sure?"
The old alchemist nods his head in excitement, "Yes, yes, yes, the legend is true, he is one, the one who breaks can only mend... I am certain of it."
"Reincarnation," Lord Rosewarth began to gather essence in his hand.
"Old man, I will never let my son be the puppet of those Shadow Eons," the Lord used his skill [BLOOD OATH].
A large mirror covered in blood appeared in front of the old alchemist.
"Put a drop of your blood in the mirror and take an oath of never spilling any word about my son," ordered the Lord.
"But, our salvation, new world, you are going to deny him of his destiny," shouts the old alchemist in anger.
Lord Rosewarth noticed the urge for more power and greed in the old alchemist's eyes, "You knew it, the prophecy, the green lightning, you too saw it." He yelled, letting out a wave of bloodlust.
"Yes, Yes, I saw it with my own two eyes, heard it with my own two ears, hahaha, finally," laughed the old alchemist like a mad man.
Lord Rosewarth canceled his skill. The blood mirror vanished in thin air.
"You instigated the fight in the Alchemy House," asked the Lord, clenching his fist.
"Yes, the cult's divination was true... Lucas is the one. And, now that he is in The Sea of Consciousness, we can proceed with joining the seal," the old alchemist tried to bring out his communication scroll.
[Arrrggh] a long sword pierced the old alchemist's heart.
"You, you, want to.... arrrrgg," the old alchemist Eric fell on the ground clenching his chest.
"Death will follow those who dare to hurt my son," declared Lord Rosewarth.
"His destiny, he will achieve on his own, I will not let greedy bastards like you interfere," Lord Rosewarth put his foot on the alchemist's throat and pulled out the sword.
"Arrgh," screamed the old alchemist. Blood began to fall from the wound on his chest.
[LESSER HEAL] the essence from Lord Rosewarth's hand stopped the blood loss, "I won't let you die so easily."
"Tell me who else knows, and I will kill you without any pain or keep your mouth shut, and I will show you hell," Bloodlust began to emerge from the Lord.
"Hahahaha," laughed the dying old alchemist.
"Ha, very well [MEMORY BREAKER]," Lord Rosewarth used his skill once again. The memories of the old alchemist began to pour into his brain.
"I see now, you freaking bastard," with a slash of his sword, Lord Rosewarth split the head of the old alchemist from his body.
Lord Rosewarth took Lucas in his arm, [CRIMSON INFERNO] crimson flames got out from his hand and covered the whole area burning everything in his surroundings, removing every trace of evidence.
Lord Rosewarth vanished with Lucas in midst of the flame, "Time to clean the traitors."
