They quickly follow the cloaked figure and the mimic's pursued after them. Inside the mimics' minds "Don't just stand there, GET THEM!" Except you, Vek, that one must be here somewhere, check EVERY area!" Malicai shots a fire magic at them and they dodge. "Just run! They're faster than you think!" The mimics were ALREADY on their heels and Malicai casts another fire bolt at the mimics, causing it to explode when hitting the ground runs after the mysterious figure.
"Where are you, you little shit?" a flashlight shines on cave. "Aha! Your dead meat, this time!" Julian continues to run on a different way from the corrupt cop and ducks down holding his head as he tries to stay out of sight. A calming, soothing, alluring voice was heard.
"Come...come...into the dark. Leave your problems and worries behind, no more trouble or strife. You can be happy here."
"You're weakened, perfect." Said Marek to the mimic. "You did well, pet. They will be coming soon; I will need help. That human will be with them." He creates mimics of the citizens infused with their spirits and takes Julian into the darkness. He is laughing from two. Marek steps forth, grinning "Didn't expect to see you here!" He stays silent, watching with terrifying emptiness.
"What...do you...want from me?" She struggles to escape but nothing works. Jack saw the monster take her off and ran behind it. He hides waiting for the right shot. He aims as Marek gloats. Jack shoots at the edge of Marek's head; He hides behind another wall. Marek wails a deep and low sickening cry.
Marek sends out a calm, soothing, alluring voice "It's okay now...your home"
"This...isn't my home, you monster" Daro spits out at him. The creature lashes out, irritated and reaches in the direction of what hit it. Marek follows it, digging into any mind in that direction. Barely trying. "You can be happy here, just like your friend and everyone here...see for yourself." There were movement noises as mimics of the citizens walk up, twitching creepily, grinning with their heads cocked to the side, they were smiling and following all commands which was very unsettling to Daro. Her eyes widen in terror. "What did you-? Why?" Daro tried to escape the creatures grasp "Let me go!" She struggled as she tried to get out.
Marek cracks his neck "Poor human, never told them about that, did you? Expected for them to just help you?! Perhaps as a return favor?" he laughs "What a joke" he smirked evilly.
"What do you want from me?!" Yelled Daro.
"As for you! Come...pet." leads them through a jungle of legs, tentacles, jaws, and other parts of monsters to Raspy Hill General, the creature following up to the doors.
"Wha- Where are you taking me?" Jack slowly sneaks up behind him. Julian is in a room, out cold as dolls overrun the hospital, everywhere. Ready to do as told or play their game with the new visitor. Daro struggling to get free from Marek's grasp. She conjures a flame in her hand, throwing it at Marek but he sensed it and dodged her blast. Jack runs after them again, he takes his shots again, dodging not to be seen. The bullet hit Marek other shoulder. He roars in agony.
Darkness spreads throughout the room as there is a cacophony of cries and screams of scared humans afraid of the dark heard throughout the building and town. The mimics sensed his presence and cowered in fear as they run away from Julian and them. He appears in an instant before Marek and begins to dig into any mind that is remotely human with ease.
"I am much more powerful! Ancient since before the dawn of time...I am that which I have created and it...me!" Daro summons a knife and stabs the creature holding her. Jack aims while hiding and shots his other shoulder. Jack was always good with aim and the ruins in his skin protected him. The Abyssal creature wails agitatedly and tries to bite Daro.
"So, the human has helped you...interesting. You'll just have to be skinned, now, won't you?" the creature, though size was unknown due to the darkness, had enough and let go, beginning to retreat by the presence of Darkness back into the abyss outside as well. He was quiet, listening to where Marek was. He aimed again. He shot at his leg this time trying to cripple him. Marek glitches out with his leg bleeding. Julian enters weakened and is trying to control his insanity because of Darkness. Daro drops in front of him holding a flame in one hand and a knife in the other. Julian winces and feels his fingers twitch.
"Julian!" he holds his head trying to control his thoughts and hears and looks up at her. She looks at him worried. "A-are?"
"G-go…n-now…"
"I'm not leaving you!" yells Daro worried for Julian. Jack grabs ahold of Daro's arm and pulls her out of the building because they have the chance, as Daro tries to pull Julian along with her but does not get a hold of him in time. It was too late for Julian it seemed by Jack's eyes; Darkness had already gone into his head.
"Let's go! YOU LIVE YOU HEAR ME JULIAN!" He aims again while running and shots at Darkness, hopefully giving Julian a fighting chance. She let's Jack drag her but turns her head to look over her shoulder to glare at Marek. "We're not done MAREK!" yells Jack to his nemesis and he knew he was going to be after Marek for sure now.
Marek cracks his neck. "A pleasure as always Jack…a pleasure" Daro looks back and glares at him once more before they disappear. Darkness laughs and leave and as he did so, it seemed like time started to go back to normal as the sun starts to rise bringing the sleepy little town back to normal. Daro squints her eyes as the sun rises. Jack pulled her close to his chest. "…I almost didn't make it to save you…please…let me know if you leave next time." He said with a peaceful and yet worried face. Daro simply nods before yawning a little. His heart racing yet excitement (cough) got him. "Excited" when she was that close to him. She sighed and leant on him, feeling her body grow tired but could not shake the feeling that Marek was watching. "Let's get somewhere safe, I'll take first watch"
Julian sees them run out of the building knowing he had to give them time to escape from the sight and clutches of Marek. He gets up and stumbles out "Must...fight…back..." he struggles to keep control over Marek that reside inside of his mind. Marek sees them escape and orders his minions to find them and bring them to him once again. "Find...them!" He growls.
Julian leans against the wall trying to get balance "Leave me alone...."
Marek threatens "I will take full control and do it myself!"
Julian continues to fight back arguing with Marek within his mind. "Listen to me.... you will never...EVER hurt them...I don't care what happens to me!" Marek gives Julian a warning growl and forcefully digs into his mind just a little, causing some damage. He hisses and falls to his knees and continues to fight Marek.
He says in a somber alluring voice "I will drag you into my house of madness...insanity will ensue! Now! Find...them!" He demanded of Julian.
"NO!" He growls louder, digging in more to cause more damage.
"AH! Ngh!" The pain was intense, he yelps out in pain and holds his head. Marek forces his legs forwards a few steps. He goes forward a few steps.
"See...either this can be the easy way-you walk and be yourself or the hard way- I'll take control and FORCE you to walk out of here." He tries to fight with all his might, he did not want any harm to his friends, he would fight, he WILL FIGHT!
He grips the wall. "Do you really want to take over a 16-year-olds mind...?"
"I've already seen most of what's in here...besides, you were mainly just a shield until my wounds healed. However, I cannot be seen...go by the #curio-shop. There's someone there-either you or him...make your choice."
"Oh, I'll make you be seen...." threatens Julian.
Marek growls "Don't even THINK about it!" He digs deeper. "You'll go insane before you do!" Julian forces him out and screams in pain. Marek digs his claws in him more as he latches on.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Julian yells and forces him out all the way.
Marek stands in front of Julian, smirking but angry "You...little...shit! There is more damage done than it may seem, anyhow...I already have one close to your friends by now, Julian." He glitches out as Julian backs away and staggers out.
