Growing up in Africa in recent years was a struggle compared to how things have changed now with all the technology around us. During colonial times many black people didn't have an opportunity of getting into school, and that resulting into many blacks being iliterate. My father worked for the whites as a forman for so many years. The whites liked him and very much and that opened doors for me. I was granted access to go into the school that white kids went to and this gave me an opportunity to read and write.
