"So you're saying that people figured out that you were in the city, and we need to raise our guard?" Alice raised the question.
"Basically. However, we still got some time remaining in our favor." Jamal stated with no worries.
Of course, they would have time, just not as much as he really wished for. Give or take, maybe at best a month or so of lurking around the city before they would be figured out. At least in the place's state, but anything was possible regardless. With time still not on their side, they were simply going to have to make the most of it.
Finishing his oatmeal, the man got up and he placed it on the counter, before going for a glass of water. Thankfully, the groceries team brought several jugs of it, as Jamal downed a full glass within ten seconds. As refreshing as it was, he was still somewhat thirsty, as he filled it up halfway. Before he even finished gulping it down, a loud creaking occurred outside the kitchen. Here we go again, Jamal finished the drink, as he turned around to see Hops in the doorway. At least compared to his girl, he actually somewhat cleaned himself up, although his hair was ruffled up as if he went through an entire hurricane.
"Well, uh, morning guys?" Hops waved at them cautiously, "I should apologize for the inconvenience last night. Things escalated rather quickly before the storm finally ended."
"Yeah, her climax was the only thing I heard for a solid ten minutes before it quieted down. Considering the thought, I'm pretty sure I know what was happening after that moment." Heskins sputtered out, while mouthing the remains of the meal.
"I mean it felt good on my-, whatever you're referring to, of course." Hops poured himself some oatmeal, before sitting next to Alice. "But that's not really the main concern, is it?"
"Yeah, we really do have more than "activities" to discuss and establish. We're running out of time with the current news at hand. We don't really know the boundaries that exist here, especially with Youden's influence here." Leon injected.
"Indeed, but for now, we just need to reevaluate our surroundings before we try to rally the people. Our current state definitely isn't there yet." Heskins said.
In agreement, Jamal was relaxed against the counter until he heard a persistent buzzing near the front of the building. This place did have a doorbell, which was actually somewhat rare back in Deiram, at least back in the day. Recognizing the sound, someone must have been up by the front.
"I'll check it out." Jamal said, before everyone could react to it.
Not listening to anything else they may have said, he reached the front door. Using brief common sense, Jamal went to the nearby curtains, as he shifted it to his advantage. Outside was some type of woman, who the man almost didn't recognize if it wasn't for the long sword sheath next to her. So she did decide to come, Jamal grinned with eager, as he returned to the door and opened it.
"The sword lead me to her-." the woman was confused, before seeing the door swung open abruptly. "Oh! I almost thought the sword was wrong, but it really wasn't. It never is."
"Sera right?" Jamal asked, to which the woman nodded, "Well I see you made the right decision. Come in."
As she went inside, Jamal closed the door behind him, quickly noting a growing presence of people within the area. He could see the woman looking around the lobby, as she turned towards his makeshift bed.
"What happened there? You guys don't have beds?" she was confused, stepping back in surprise.
"Oh, we do, but I rather not say why that's there." Jamal lead her to the kitchen. "You must be hungry. Join us."
Having not eaten a meal in several hours, Sera's stomach was grumbling for some nutrition. Still a bit hesitant and reluctant, the woman continued down the hallway with the man, until he reached a larger doorway. From within, she could hear commotion and chatter around, although the ages sounded a bit young for some of the people.
"Hey everyone! I have a major announcement to make!" the man roared, causing everyone to stop talking.
Turned around, Jamal clearly had their attention as he was quick to utilize it.
"As you all know, this journey is going to be risky and we're going to need every bit of help we can get. So in that very case, I want to introduce you guys to Sera!"
Everyone stared at the empty doorway, as Jamal turned around due to their reaction. Looking back into the hallway, he could see the woman looking at some type of art, before he called her back over.
"Okay, she's here now! Now meet Sera!" Jamal gave the woman space, as she held her head high. It was from here, no one had said a word yet, as they could feel this energy fluctuate, due to the sword pulsing intensely with energy. This would be really interesting to see what they would be working with. And who didn't like something to test out and see if they're worthy?
