Fonda watched through the rear window of the oncoming meteor in the sky, as if it was a normal thing. The united group somehow managed to gas out of the city and onto a highway, with none of the army following them luckily, at least for now. The current situation was much more dire, as it was quite clear Youden was back in the city, with a similar attack happening again just like all those years ago.
"So that's the attack that made Jamal go off." Heskins could see the rock jutting down from above through the rear-view mirror. "Hopefully, he'll be able to counter that right?"
"Just keep driving and shut up." Hops demanded back to him, clutching Alice tightly, who was still slowly breathing.
"Don't have to speak like that." Ula made a note of, while the young boy was clinging onto her arm.
Fonda continued looking back, just to see a fire blast hit the meteor, although it looked as if nothing was happening to it. At least Jamal was fighting back and still alive, Fonda grinned lightly at the sight.
"Where are we even going?" Brat groaned with boredom, "Surely it can't be too much farther."
"We're going to a hospital just outside of the Youdenio City," Heskins took note of a hospital sign that he drove past.
That kept everyone silent, as Fonda continued to look back at the meteor, as a bright speck appeared to land onto the rock, before disappearing. Something was going on and it wasn't good that the group didn't know about. Turning back forward, she yawned with a lack of energy as Heskins turned right onto a exit and no other carrs in sight.
Just as they were getting onto a side road, a loud boom ruptured into the air, rattling the carr's windows but kept solid and maintained composure. Everyone but Heskins looked back, to see a large cloud of smoke climbing into the sky. Jamal definitely didn't create that, as even Alice shifted slightly from the sound.
"Huh?" she managed to say, before Hops made sure she was comfortable.
"Stay down, it's nothing. Everything will be fine." Hops assured her, causing Alice to barely crack a smile before lying back down.
But Fonda wasn't smiling, but rather in a major state of panic, for Jamal. Did he survive whatever attack that was? Even if he did, would he stall their plans of fighting for Saputa, or could it spell the end?
