Chapter 201 - Asserting True Dominance

Staring down towards the other dark cells, Lero stayed focused through the sweat. It was miserable, and yet he pushed through another set of push-ups. He was still limited in movement, so really any basic exercises were going to get him through the night. Ever since he left that hospital room only two days ago, he avoided crowds. He barely was well enough, and giving painkillers wasn't going to help him once it wore off. But he was determined, and getting out of this place was his number one priority.

Finishing the final set, he groggily got himself up, as he shuffled towards the makeshift shower. Watching as the pipe swayed ever so slightly, he turned the single handle, as the cold water rushed down him. It would have normally bothered him, but he didn't even care the slightest. Lero stood under there for a few mere seconds, before taking it off and patting himself down with an issued towel. Satisfied that he was dry enough, he hopped onto the cot, and fell fast asleep with vigor. He was going to change everything, and do the impossible.

.....

Waking up to the prison alarms ringing across the entire system, Lero pushed himself up and took a deep stretch. He wasn't going to get stronger in a short period of time, but there was no doubt he felt different after the encounter. Being forced to fix his entire room, ransacked to lose everything he collected. It was sickening, and yet it was a relief that anything that could have possibly been used against him was stolen. But that wouldn't happen anymore.

Once roll call had ended, the cells opened at once, with the prisoners marching towards the cafeteria for breakfast. Lero followed suit, although he kept his eye out for any suspicious attacks. All he had to find was the one man from the hospital, Thoam Halling and begin the escape process. As he had reached the final level, he could barely see Arocut and his goons surrounding him but well off in the distance.

It took several minutes, as he finally gotten into the line and grabbed some stale oatmeal. The meal would definitely be better than nothing, as he looked cautious for that one man. Making his way carefully through the environment, Lero looked around the entire sector but he couldn't find the man. There was no way he didn't eat, right?

"Over here." he could hear his voice, as Lero turned around.

There the man was, slurping down his food as if it was not burning his mouth. There was no one next to him, and as Lero was about to sit right next to him, Thoam stopped him.

"Sit across from me. That way, neither of us can get ambushed." the man redirected him.

Following his direction, Lero sat across to him, before beginning to break the crust forming on the oatmeal. It was getting dry and less mushy, as he forced it into his mouth.

"So, it's seems that you're doing fine." Lero began making talk.

"I've seen worse out of the prison than inside!" Thoam laughed aloud, surprising Lero with his assertion.

Despite being in his sixties, from the looks of it, the man seemed content and as if he was still in his prime. For someone that old, all he would acquire was advice on the best way to leave. Other than that, it would be useless for him to escape with him.

"What's your powers anyway? Gotta be good." the man was curious.

"Well, I bloody have none." Lero looked down in shame, "All I got is my brains and muscles."

Thoam straightened his back before smiling. Lero looked back up at the man, staring at the twisted face. How was that a good thing for a place like this? Being powerless would kill you here.

"For my needs, that will do just fine. You'll be a perfect host."

"Host?" Lero managed to say, before Thoam nodded his head in the other direction.

"Arocut and his little gang is coming towards you. Just stay put." Thoam said, just as they arrived.

"Well, look what I see here. If it ain't the bloomin', bloody croakers." Arocut attempted to mimic, causing his goons to laugh, "It's good to see that you recovered, and made a little buddy. You two in love?"

"Arocut, why don't you check your wife. Last I heard, she was getting clapped from both sides." Thoam shot back, dying down the laughter.

"You did not bring her up." Arocut stopped grinning as he made his way towards the man. "I know you didn't try that."

"She was getting sucked dry from the news I recalled. I mean, they were putting in that work." Thoam gotten up, smiling in the man's face. "It's a shame that you couldn't prove her wrong."

"I had it with you, old man!" Arocut bulged his muscles. "It's time for you to go back to bed!"

Thoam ceased playing around, as he flung his still hot oatmeal into the man's face, causing him to stagger back.

"It's time to go." Thoam assured Lero, as he began to speed off. "Follow me!"

Lero almost considered not moving, until his gang began to approach him closer, as he shuffled out of his seat and began following suit. Not looking back, he was surprised at how fast that someone so old could move, despite him catching up with youth. The cafeteria was in an uproar with the action taking place, as Arocut finally recovered and began marching towards the pair, being faster than both of them.

"Stop running, and be some real men!" Arocut was closing in.

Thoam stopped moving and turned around, while Lero continued going. He wasn't going to wait to see what happened, but turned around to see what the man was going to do. Thoam simply tapped the most buff person close to him, as that person began to shake uncontrollable. Then the shaking began to calm down, as Thoam held tightly onto the body, before the man began to charge towards Arocut.

Arocut stood his ground, as he managed to land an uppercut across the man's chin, who stood in place before retaliating with several blows. It caused Arocut to stutter back in pain, as the assualting man kicked Arocut's knee, causing him to fall. With that, Thoam managed to push off the body that he was connected to, as both fighting men were on top of each other.

Lero just stood their in shock, as Thoam patted the man's back as if nothing happened. Was that man controlling another person's movement, and literally took no damage from it?

"Don't wait around any longer. We're just getting started from here." Thoam called out to him, as guards began to surround the sight.

With that, Lero was able to nod his head in agreement, before beginning to move towards the man. Whatever he did, was definitely something that he didn't like to see happen to him. Nevertheless, an idea was an idea, and if it got him out of here, than maybe it would happen to him.
