Chapter 190 - The True Laken

Laken nervously looked around at his agitators, who stared them down. He didn't know how long he had been here, but surely his Pa and Mama would come save him. The two men surrounded him in the dark room Laken was in, only providing a bed and a teddy bear for his comfort.

"The boy is clearly scared, we can't be doing this forever. Youden will not be pleased with the little progress that has occurred." A large man noted, fumbling something out of his pocket. "We can't be playing around if Youden is suppose to return in around three more days. This kid clearly needs to flare up, and now."

"Let me try one more time." a shorter man said, before crouching down in front of him, "I think I can start something."

"Hey buddy, I know we've been here a lot, but I need you do something for me? Okay?" the short man softly said.

"I want Pa and Mama!" Laken cried out, holding the teddy bear tightly.

"You'll see them if you use your powers. That's it." the short man explained, "They won't come until you use them."

Laken just shook his head in refusal. Pa and Mama wouldn't come if he did so. Plus he didn't want to anyway.

"I want my Mama!" Laken began to cry aloud.

"Well, I tried." the short man got up.

"It's my turn now." the larger man grumbled, as he grabbed the teddy bear from the boy.

"No!" Laken tried to get up, but the large man pushed him back down.

"Shut up. If Youden said this boy had so much potential, he's either hiding it or can't do. So let's force it out instead." the large man grinned, as he began to pull on the bear's head.

"Plea!" Laken began to stretch his hands. "Not Tedda!"

"Better use powers now!" the man began to talk like him, "Or "Tedda" go away!"

Laken tried to rush him again, but the large man actually kicked him down onto the ground, causing the boy to stifle.

"I think that's enough Joen." the short man wavered. "This might be too much."

"It's perfect. Look at him." Joen looked down at the boy, who wiped his tears away and forced himself up.

"Give Tedda back!" Laken cried out, with a sliver of darkness slowly beginning to surround his hand.

"There we go. Too bad we had to wait a long time for this." Joen laughed, "So you'll have to suffer now."

Laken's eyes widened in shock, as the man ripped the head clean off the bear, before tossing it across the room. Laken just watched as the bear landed, with the fluff coming out of both ends. The boy kept shut, as he slowly took a deep breath.

"You stopped crying? No more boohoo?" Joen said, before the short man pushed him. "Mart, quit it."

"This is extremely messed up." Mart noted, as the boy was trembling, "I can get you a new one, Laken."

"Tedda gone, you gone too." the boy looked up, his eyes completely dark.

"And that's now your problem." Mart quickly moved back, with Joen not budging.

"It's literally a toddler, what is he going to do?" Joen laughed.

Laken didn't say another word, as he shot a shard of darkness through the man's chest. Joen stood in place, shocked, coughing out a thick spasm of blood onto the floor. The shard pierced through the man's back, before it stuck onto the wall temporarily, before dissipating, and having the blood fall onto the floor.

Joen stumbled back onto the floor, as Mart quickly rushed towards him, grabbing him by the arms.

"What did I tell you!" Mart cried out, before dropping him.

Joen's body was quickly turning an extreme black, and a solid coating starting to surround him, as the man was convulsing on the door, begging for help.

"Shoot him! Help me!" Joen cried out, struggling to put his hands up, before his mouth and eyes were covered.

Mart didn't even look back, as he exited the room, and shut the door closed tightly, actually using the additional locks provided, that no one bother to use. This wasn't a regular toddler, and whatever Jamal had helped create was something he didn't want to mess with, or even bother with again. Turning around, he quickly began making his way to the stairs across the hallway, not looking back and saving himself, and himself only.

.....

Laken collapsed onto the ground, as he stared around him. The room looked the same as to when the men came inside everyday, except for Tedda across the room, and the stiff body lying across the ground. Without even looking, he rushed across to the teddy bear, and tried to put the head and body together, although it simply fell off.

"Not Tedda." he cried out, as he laid onto the ground next to him, holding what was left of him tightly, while the dead man stared into the ceiling, relieved of the horror he helped come out.
