Chapter 164 - Lessons From The Elderly?

Jamal just took a deep breath, as he waited inside the hut. Looking around inside the mostly empty building, he didn't keep his eyes off the man that invited him in here. He looked extremely old and fragile. But he knew something was up, and he wouldn't let his guard down, even for a bit.

"So, you've told me that you've been walking for two days since "your" carr broke down, boy." the man emphasized on the final word.

"Yeah," Jamal mumbled back, almost in disgust from his wording.

"It just so happens I stumbled upon you in that case." the old man turned around grinning, as he held out a small tray of tea.

"Very lucky I guess." Jamal said, as the man handed him the drink. "I don't think I need a drink though."

"Of course you do, aren't you thirsty?" the man asked curiously.

"Okay, you know what? I'm going to be grateful for all the hospitality, but let's cut the nonsense out. What do you really want from me?"

"Nothing much at all, Jamal. Nothing much." the man said, as the door that was left open since Jamal arrived inside closed, blocking all the remaining light from the outdoors, except for the few candles glowing within the place.

"I didn't even tell you my name yet." Jamal sighed, as he dropped the drink, spilling it everywhere. "You are?"

"I can tell you're angry. You've been so for quite some time it seems." the man said, standing in front of him with no visible worry.

Before Jamal could say anything back, the man tapped several points on his body, causing Jamal to step back in shock.

"I know you're not that strong, but I'll just make this quick." Jamal laughed, as he ignited on fire.

Before he could step forward, suddenly a burst of pain rocketed across his entire body, causing him to spit blood out of his mouth.

"So dependent on powers." the man sighed at him, as Jamal forced himself back up.

"That was weak." Jamal fired several fireballs towards the man, after wiping the blood off his mouth.

The man somehow was able to puff the flames out of the air before they were even a foot near him, as Jamal rushed towards the door and out the hut. The man simply followed him, to which Jamal rushed him again, high in the air to avoid being touched.

"Die!" Jamal cried out in rage, as the man stared ahead at the maddened man.

Jamal barely made contact with his fist, before he was slammed into the ground, taking away the flames and gasping in pain. He could barely stare at the man wiping away the light burn mark, surprised in the attack.

"Your nothing compared to what the stories were. I wondered what happened?" the man grumbled in shame.

"Everything," Jamal spitted out, as he heaved himself back up, before beginning to ignited his body again, to which the man continued to stay in his place, not even flinching.

Jamal attempted to punch him, but each attack was futile, as the man just dodged, before finally countering back. Jamal only wavered in front of the man, before collapsing onto his knees, feeling marks where the man connected his fingers onto him.

"What a shame. It's really, really unfortunate that it had came to this. I mean, I expected more from the man himself, but you're nothing but a sham. A myth at best." the man replied back.

"So kill me then," Jamal grimaced through bloodied teeth, "End my suffering, so I can be at peace."

"You wish." the man said, "But I too, want Youden dead. He took my son from me."

Jamal just stared into the man's eyes, before looking back at the ground.

"He's still alive, right?" Jamal was able to say, before collapsing on the ground.

The man looked down at the unconscious man, who a long time ago thought who he really thought he would be.

"No, but that's where you'll come in." the man replied back to the downed man, before picking him up.
