Continuing to sleep, Jamal woken up to a loud shriek from outside. Slowly getting up, he stared at the window to temporarily see something zoom through the clouds, before disappearing out of his sight. What could that have been, he feared, as he got up to look around the room.
In the corner, he could see a crib of some type, and Ula already out of bed. When did she get that, he couldn't recall unless she got it when he left? Anyway, it didn't bother him at this point, as he got out of the room to hear commotions from the kitchen. The heck was going on over there.
Walking his way towards the opening, he could see Ula passing out food to Leon and Alice, while his son was struggling to eat a small bowl of oatmeal. Why were they still here?
"I will say good morning, but what are y'all doing here still?" Jamal asked out loud with everyone looking at him.
"Pa!" Laken noticed him, as he tried to get out of his seat.
"There's a problem here?" Alice noted.
"Indeed there is." Jamal replied back while picking up Laken from the seat, "Now Ula, did you let these people stay here?"
"I said for now until they find somewhere else." Ula replied worryingly, "They can't stay?"
"Not exactly saying that, but I told them to find somewhere else to stay," Jamal stated.
"Sounds like we're not wanted here." Leon analyzed the situation. "Talk about hospitality."
"At least your son doesn't mind," Alice grinned at the boy, with Laken giggling.
"Anyway, we can worry about that later. Ula, what were you buying while I was gone?" Jamal asked here while putting Laken back in his seat.
"Before you add anything else, Alice made it." Ula looked back at the other woman.
"You asked me too." Alice shrugged off.
"Wait, how did you build that so quickly?" Jamal asked curiously?
"The good ol' book." she placed onto the table without hesitation.
Of course, he should have assumed that, as he just sat down next to the group. At least she could be useful.
"So I got some good news and bad news anyway. I found Lero." Jamal grinned, while he slipped a spoon full of oatmeal into Laken's open mouth.
"Who?" Leon questioned.
"The guy that got me back here. It was through a machine that could fly."
Everyone just stared at him, before laughing except for Ula. Even Laken was giggling with them. I guess they've never seen one, Jamal was surprised at the reaction. At least Ula remembered, as he could feel her hands on his shoulders.
"A flying machine? Jamal, what madness are you talking about." Leon wiped his eyes at his words.
"The only machine I have to be thankfully for you bringing us was the carrs." Alice almost fell out of her seat saying.
"You guys traded with Youden?!" Jamal recalled the name, being outraged. "How could you!
Just when Leon was about to respond, they heard a knock on the door, with Ula going to check it out. But Jamal couldn't believe what he was hearing. They were okay with what Youden was doing?
"I mean, we didn't get them from him. Some other nation said they made them." Leon leaned back against the chair, as the door closed behind them.
"Jamal, where have you been?" he heard from across the room.
"Yeah, where have you been?" another voice spoke to him.
Jamal turned his head to see Fonda and Brat moving towards him. Did they forget he left?
"I had to complete some business," Jamal replied back at them, before getting up. "Speaking of which, I'll be back."
"Your about to leave, and decided to bring back Leon for real!" Fonda cried out once she began to connect the dots. "I thought you hated him!"
"I didn't even say anything yet." Leon grumbled.
"Anyway, it's not my concern," Jamal noted, before kissing Ula quickly. "I'll be back."
"Where are you going?" she asked him.
"I'll explain when I return babe," he promised her, before walking out the house.
There was silence, as everyone just stared at the door Jamal had left from. He just decided to leave just like that?
"When he started calling you that?" Brat asked with curiosity.
....
Walking briskly, Jamal finally reached the small ditch, as he slid down the gap to reach the small opening of the destroyed machine. I hope he's still here, he obviously should have known as he heard tinkering behind the machine. Walking towards the sound, he could see Lero smashing something into the craft, before noticing his arrival.
"You got what I bloody need?" Lero simply asked him.
"I found the person that can get you out of here," Jamal smirked at him.
"Bloody good job." Lero got up to stare into his eyes, before laughing towards the sky. "Now I get off this blooming rock!"
