"It's been a good bit, hasn't it?" Jamal smirked at the man, who still towered over him a few inches, that he could tell from a distance.
"You know, I've always wondered whether you were still alive after the Fall of Saputa. And you still somehow are." Leon grumbled, getting closer.
"I'm just surprised that you're still moving after that fight. I could have sworn that I killed you there." Jamal shot back.
"Oh, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this." Leon began to laugh, standing in front of him. "Almost four years, and you'll pay greatly for it."
"Your damn right I've waited this long too. Which is why I wanted to ask-" Jamal began to say.
As he began to causally explain, he noticed that Leon's fists were clenched tightly, and Jamal realized what was about to happen.
Instantly, he blocked the attack, as the alley they were in collapsed around them, dust lifting in the air. Dang, looks like payback's coming earlier than he assumed, Jamal grinned, as he instantly let his entire body light on fire.
"Jamal, I've waited so long that've developed a technique just for you. Times 100!" Leon roared at him, causing the dust to instantly disappear.
Jamal could see Leon's shirt gone, just like the tournament, as the aura passed the parts of the former walls that made up the alley. This was going to be interesting.
"I've developed my own thing too. I'll see if you can force it, big guy." Jamal grinned, as they both began to start attacking each other.
.....
Meanwhile, Hops was in a food coma after eating all that food. As he was about to order some of their local beer, he heard a loud crash and looked outside lazily to see a cloud of dust in the sky. Was this place under attack as well? He got up, and began shuffling his way towards the door and to see what was happening.
Pushing through, he could see a commotion of people heading towards the same direction, as he crept up towards the action. He could hear two people shouting, and although they sounded familiar he couldn't tell who it was. I know Jamal is not fighting right now, Hops sighed, as he stopped when he saw the lady at the restaurant chanting something, people giving her space.
"Hey, you!" Hops called out, to which the white lady looked up once she finished her chant. "You thought you could escape from us, huh?"
"What are you even talking about?" she pretended to be confused, before turning back at the activity happening in front of them.
"You were watching us inside the place." Hops managed to burp out, before sitting on the ground next to her, "And the man's already taken, so no cheating for him."
"Is that so? No wonder he tried to attack me."
"Attack you? Why would Jamal try to do that?" Hops was confused before the ground began to shake around them.
"Looks like he's into fighting since he's going all out on the president of Fuishem."
"Who's that supposed to be? He probably shouldn't be fighting Jamal."
"His name is Leon Ganero." Alice replied, admiring her work Hops had yet to notice.
"Leon! Holy powers, we need to stop this before they destroy this place!" Hops cried out in recognition.
"Nothing to worry about, already under control."
"What do you mean? The whole city is going to get destroyed. We got to stop it now!"
"If you would just look, I've already got the area covered." she grinned.
Hops turned to where she was looking at, and gasped in surprise. It looked like a semi-transparent sphere was covering the area of the attack, and he could see Jamal and Leon fighting inside.
"It'll slowly wear them out eventually, or they'll outlast the protection I set up, which is then when we'll have to worry about what happens then. I'll give it 10 minutes, give or take." Alice shrugged, before walking away.
"You're just going to leave him inside? Isn't that dangerous!" Hops gasped in shock, as he began following her to try to change her mind.
"Yep," she said, as she continued to stroll up the hill, with Hops following her after looking behind him one last time at the fighting duo. It's all or nothing here, Hops knew, as he continued walking to get more information.
