"Hey, you've been watching us haven't you!" Jamal called out towards the lady, picking up pace. "Don't run now!"
Speeding up, he noticed the woman quickly freed open the wrappings as she grabbed the book closer to her. What type of situation was he dealing with right now? Frustrated, he slowed down, as he concentrated on his hands. Feeling the heat, he slowly began making his way towards her, although faster than ever now that fire was allowing him to accelerate faster to the woman.
The woman turned around in surprise and opened what appeared to him as a random page in the book. He watched as she began mumbling words, as the book began to glow. Oh nah, some powers are definitely in the works here, Jamal knew, as he was just within a few feet from her.
As he began stretching his hands towards the book, it was as if he sifted to the side, although he continued propelling straight towards her and never changing direction. He crashed through a clothing store, as the people inside stared at him in shock. Alright, I can play that way, Jamal grinned as he quickly got up seeing the woman laughing off at him, before continuing the run.
He leaped through the broken glass, not worried about damages, as the street began to fill with people from the commotion. Great, Jamal could tell, as he slowly began picking up speed again. But he had to admit, whatever powers was in the book, gave her all the strength for this run.
As she turned a corner, Jamal used his fire to quickly turn into the alley, only to see her backed into a corner. This is definitely a trap.
"Look, I saw you watching us, and now I'm about to get some answers." Jamal managed to make out, as he was panting for breath. "Can I ask why?"
The woman looked furiously around her, before quickly turning the pages in the book she had on her. Before she could get any further, Jamal shot a fireball above her head, causing her to drop it.
"Okay, I'll speak!" the woman cried out, surprising Jamal. It couldn't be this easy, could it?
"Now, who are you?" Jamal grinned, as he created several fireballs floating around his hand, before beginning to approach her.
"My name is Alice." she cowered, before beginning to mumble some words afterwards.
"Is that so?" Jamal was in front of her, before noticing the book was glowing.
"You tried." she grinned back at him before a bright light forced him to close his eyes.
He began firing fireballs in random directions, until he could tell the light died down. Opening his eyes, the woman was gone, as well as the book. And any answers too, were gone. Just great.
"What's happening back here?" a voice familiar to him yelled out.
Jamal looked behind him, to see the man myself. What a coincidence, he grinned, to see Leon looking at him. Just his luck.
"You." Leon finally realized, before making his way towards him.
