This could actually work, Kurt noticed, as he read an old report from a few years ago. It was about the bombing of what was once Saputa City before it got captured. It appeared that the first attack, did extensive damage, and probably resulted in many casualties, but by the time they tried again, it wasn't as successful since the city was better prepared. But by looking at Suruthum, they had very little resistance, and he assumed doing a similar thing would get what he needed.
He quickly dialed Youden, and he patiently waited for a response. He should be up by now, he felt like, as he heard Youden greet him.
"Sir, it's Kurt, and I know what needs to be done. I think we should bomb the nation to oblivion."
"Is that so?"
"I've read an old report about the first bombing on the capital, and this nation has nothing. Literally, at best, they may have a few troops that have powers that could possibly shoot an Ariocaster or two, but with altitude, I bet they wouldn't be close."
Kurt heard a small noise, assuming that Youden was considering his request before giving him a response.
"Will fifty do, alongside with the troops I'm still sending north?"
"That'll be perfect sir. We'll have this nation truly under our control in a few weeks with this," he noted.
"I'll let them start the process in two days. Each and every day, and I want you to let me know when you are sending the troops into the nation so I can stop. That is all." Youden said, before hanging up.
Kurt grinned, as he placed the caller back in its slot. It would only be a matter of time. As he sat comfortably behind the desk, he realized one major problem left after the conquest. Once they really captured Suruthum, then what use would Kurt be of? He's been loyal this entire time to him, but knowing Youden, any threat to him would be annihilated, no matter the cost. Youden knew his power, but he hadn't seen it in action yet. Imagine trying to take over Youdenia or whatever lame name against him, Kurt snickered. But he would be ready, and now would be a good time to begin.
...
Meanwhile, Youden had finished speaking to one of the soldiers that were down south against the insurgency and shook his head. It appeared that Jamal was really helping them. But after years of trial and error, he would finally put the latest bombing Ariocasters to test. What a difference it was if one just focused on making Ariocasters for certain attacks. A lot of people were about to face the wrath of Youdenia, and their goal of being a superpower was going smoothly.
