"So you're telling me if I help you out, you can get me back to Suruthum?" Jamal asked in the morning, back in the building he was in earlier.
"Of course, I can fly you back there in several hours after we get what needs to be done." the woman commented.
"And what's your name exactly? Still haven't gotten it yet."
"It's Beai."
"Well then, Beai, what needs to be done."
"We need someone to help us take back our lost towns."
"How many is that?"
"About three."
"Mmmm, and how many people are apart of this "Resistance"."
"We have overall two thousand people, five hundred people who are actively fighting."
This caused Jamal to start laughing, almost collapsing on the floor. Of course, this explained everything, especially with the leadership they were dealing with right here. It was such a shame that their potential was being wasted.
"Is this funny to you?" Beai asked, getting up to his face.
"Oh no, it just makes sense now. Let me see what I can do, if you don't mind." he tried to speak, where she just sighed before leading him outside.
He followed her, as she went behind the building, to see a rusty-like vehicle, almost similar to some of what he must have assumed were carrs from earlier. He watched as she motioned him inside, as he hopped in, and she went on the other side, before turning a switch. The vehicle temporarily shook, as a small plume of gas erupted behind before they jolted ahead.
"This is one of the earlier models of carrs." she commented, as they sped down the road, and going north.
He just nodded, as they both stayed silent as Jamal watched the area become heavily wooded. It made sense to start from here and working his way up in a way. As she began to slow down, Jamal could hear powers being used, as they stopped near what appeared to a small encampment, with people milling around.
"I see the problem, let me deal with this." Jamal commented, before she could object.
"Hey! What are you guys doing!" he cried out, with them all looking at him in shock.
"Ma'a-, wait, who are you?" one of the people asked, before Beai came out.
"This is Jamal, and he's going to save the resistance," she mentioned.
"This scrub? This man looks weak." the man said, rushing towards him.
Jamal wanted to laugh, as the man formed metal spikes from his fingers. He just watched as he was almost in front of his face, before Jamal blasted him to the side, watching the man crash into a tree to his left.
"Yeah, you guys need a lot of work. Let's see what you're using." Jamal causally shrugged, with the other people in shock as he walked through.
"Where are the weapons if you use any?" he asked them all.
"Here," a female soldier said, leading him to a camouflage tent.
Looking inside, he could see a variety of weapons, a few antique rifles compared to what he has seen in the latest raids in Suruthum, and melee weapons of various lengths.
"This is what we have in this division, some are more equipped than others." Beai commented.
"These weapons might be useful if you have no powers, but other than that you only need powers." he noted, as he left the tent.
"So what needs to be done?" Beai followed behind him.
"I almost took Youden out myself. But so your Resistance has a chance, they need some real experience. I need fifty people to help me reclaim a town."
With that, Beai frowned with worry, which she should have had, but her leadership was costing them the attempt to reclaim Saputa.
"If you fail, I'll personally have you killed with my own hands." she commented, before leading him back to the carr.
"That won't be needed. It's time that I get serious again." he grinned back, as he got back inside, before they sped off even more north.
