Youden was pleased with the work ahead after the week battle against the remaining soldiers the Saputan army left behind. What a pesty group they were, as he watched as several tarrs and three divisions of troops went ahead to the road leading to Port-O-Bea. Conquering the capital felt so good, and once everything was done he would celebrate. Satisfied, he walked back to the generals inside the former Palace who had laid out a map on a table they had found inside. Much of it was covered in blue, which they marked as annexed. They still had a lot of land to cover, but it was mostly rural and would just take a month or so to take with ease.
"We've done well, haven't we?" he greeted them, where they quickly saluted him.
"Sir, it's a miracle that they weren't prepared as we thought they might be. In fact, we have enough resources to advance even further. What do you think we should do next?" a general chimed in.
"I want to hear what you guys are thinking first because I plan to head back to the islands to see some progress."
"Well, once we take Port-O-Bea, we need to watch out for a resistance movement that will form, and quell any possible rebellions from forming. I think at this point that should be a major focus, and advancements within the newly conquered land a secondary goal."
"That's what I like to hear. I'll leave you guys in charge for a few days. I'll be back within the next three days." Youden replied.
"But just to reach the coast will take at least two days just to reach, then a day's journey by boat." they followed him, as he got out the building and to a ruined building.
This will do, Youden muttered to himself, as he braced himself on it.
"Trust me, just keep watch for me, I'll return. You might want to get back inside though," he told them and they followed his instruction.
Watching with curiosity, the generals watched as Youden launched himself off the building at a crazy speed and into the sky, creating a wind that forced them to take cover, and the buildings surrounding the launch collapsed, but they were already ruined anyway, so it didn't matter much.
"Now what?" a general asked the rest, once it calmed down enough.
"Let's clean this place up, the people here can be put to work." someone announced, and they all agreed.
No one dared to underestimate Youden's power and it would be best to look like something was happening. They would send more reinforcements behind the one they sent already later. They walked up some soldiers loitering around after and barked commands to start cleaning this place up by any means necessary. Quickly following commands, they began looking putting anyone to work, soldiers and civilians to begin the process. They were just building up from here.
