The first day of school is always the most hectic. All the kids trying to find their classes, students not following the dress codes, meeting up with friends after summer to see how much they have changed, etc. "Mr. Hunt," a soft voice called from behind me. I turned to see who it was and to my surprise it was Jasmine Monroe, one of my favorite students. She's so bright and beautiful, her smile could stop anyone in their tracks as it did me on a regular basis.
I know it's wrong to be attracted to a student but I can't shake these feelings that I have for her. I've had these feeling ever since I first laid eyes on her. All the way back to her freshmen year. She's a senior now, and more beautiful that ever before. "Hi Jasmine, how was your summer?" I greeted her with a smile as I scanned her gorgeous face. She now had a nose ring and pink braces.
"It was great, I got to travel a bit with my parents to Paris," she smiled showing off her deep dimples. "Oh really? And how was France?" I asked, placing my hand in the middle of her back and guiding her out of the foot traffic.
"It was amazing, I wish I didn't have to leave. We should take our senior trip there..if that's possible," she beamed, her brown skin glowing while she spoke.
"Maybe I could see if I could arrange for that trip to happen," I answered. "Really?" She asked eagerly, her face lit with excitement. "Yeah anything for my favorite student. Tell me more about your trip," I said walking over to a near by table in the lounge area of the cafeteria and taking a seat. "Well," she started, taking a seat next to mine. "As I said earlier it was amazing," she smiled. "We of course saw the Eiffel Tower that being a classic. My dad had us stay at the most amazing hotel called the Hôtel Régence Etoile, which was beautiful. We walked nature trails and road in carriages that were guided by horses.." she explained. I started daydreaming watching how excited she was at the memory of her trip.
*EVERYONE REPORT TO YOUR ADVISORY ON YOUR SCHEDULE* *ALL STUDENTS ARE TO REPORT TO ADVISORY* The announcements boomed over the intercom. "See you later Mr. Hunt," Jasmine smiled before she turned on her heel and walked away. "Have a great first day," I shouted loud enough for her to hear me. "Good morning Mr. Hunt," "Good morning Mr. Hunt," some students greeted me as they walked past to go to their classes. "Good morning all," I replied.
*8:25 AM*
While comfortable in my office, I decided to look into our School Agenda/Budget for this year. "Mmm..what could I cut out that will give us just enough money for Paris?" I asked myself while I gripped the end of a pen with my teeth.
Suddenly there was a small knock on my office door that interrupted my peace and quiet. "It's open," I shouted.
