Kronus waited. He could feel the tendrils of his energy outside the metaverse, keeping his agents connected to him, despite the time disparity. He was playing a difficult game, using his powers to keep time synced between the Meta-verse and Earth.
Time, like many things, was relative. The observation of something fixed it into a timeframe that could be understood by the observer. The separation between Earth and the Metaverse was so fundamental, that their timelines didn't line up at all.
"Several ages have passed here since the coming of those monsters through the Zero Well, but it seems much, much less time has passed on Earth. I can't afford for my agents to be gone for millenia while I try to move the council to destroy the Earth. What would be the point?"
