The Coven was eliminated, but Debbie was happy to see that she and Mimi made it through just fine. In fact all five of them who were seeded from the Mech test were finalists.
Debbie watched Matt tell Jeff to stand at attention, as all 10 of them shared the stage with Major Damien.
She tried to catch Mimi's eye, but she was on the far end of the stage beside her Corporals, Tom and Tonya. 'I wonder how they are dealing with the fact they both tried to kill each other?' Debbie wondered. The Mimi from two years ago would likely be dead right now. Mimi was always competitive, always trying to show that she deserved to be at the top… but she never had the killer instinct. The old Mimi, faced with Tonya's desire to win even if she killed her opponent, would have given up.
'Not the bad bitch I helped make. She gives as good as she gets.' Debbie was proud of Mimi, though she knew, Mimi was the same good girl from before. She just found a new level of resolve.
