General Leto was surprised. This fight had not gone how he had expected at all. He did expect Shin to lose in straight up martial skill. Major Jim was the master of an ancient martial art, and he regularly won the tournaments he entered.
He was surprised that Shin was such a strong fighter himself. Leto had set up this fight to force Shin to further expose his powers, in front of all the generals. Instead they were seeing him fight bravely, but about to lose consciousness.
'Do his powers have a recovery period? Or have a set of rules around them?' General Leto thought it was more likely that Shin was trying to hide his inexplicable powers. 'The boy has an HPA score of 0!'
He watched as Shin was crushed by the Major, fighting just for breath. It would be all over in a minute. He knew the signs, and Shin's arm was getting limp. Shin roused himself enough to look over at the General, as if to say 'is this what you wanted?'
