Shin was suspended in a dark tank. It was peaceful in the darkness, the warm water perfectly still around him. He tried to let his thoughts drift, as if he was alone in the sea at night. It wasn't easy though, because he knew there was a team of people in the lab outside running all kinds of tests on him.
This wasn't the first time Shin had gone through this test. Everyone in the empire had to be assessed for their HPA score. Strangely though, for cadets, they weren't told her scores after. Which is why Shin wondered what this was about, they should have his files from the academy. The generals made it clear that they were going to put him through the qualifier, so maybe this was just part of it.
"Do you really think this is just part of the qualifier?" Shinja asked.
"Why wouldn't it be?"
"I just think it was something extra they added. I think they looked at your original scores and something surprised them. Why don't we know our HPA score?"
