Debbie spoke at length with Dr. Grey about her experiments with the arcane. At first she was worried about confiding in a teacher, but Mimi had complete trust in her. It was the right move though, together they had melded her knowledge of science and the human body with Debbie's growing control over arcane energy.
"It is like you are pulling this energy out of nowhere!" Dr. Grey said. She was fascinated by this magic that seemed to come on command. "I suspect that the answer is more complicated. Nothing comes from nowhere." then she laughed as if that was a joke. "I'm no quantum physicist, but you're likely drawing that energy from another dimension, or a parallel universe… I don't know how, but there must be some connection between some people and this other place."
"You're sure that connecting this arcane power to my organs won't hurt me in any way?" Debbie asked.
