[Convergence Cataclysm]
It was hard to believe how full circle the world had gone. Maybe not a circle, but a spiral, where each revolution let you see the path you were on, but you had moved, or down. Elliot wondered if Humanity was getting better, or worse. And what was his part in it?
He couldn't claim to be an innocent bystander in the course of human evolution, or history. He was single handedly responsible for 2 cataclysmic events in recent, well recent-ish, history.
"Out of all the things that survived from back then, this lab was just buried away here, waiting for someone to stumble upon it and start that whole wretched cycle over again." He looked at the soldiers patrolling the lab, and didn't think there was anything here that could stop him. He didn't want to have to go in and destroy everything, but he couldn't let any of the research from here escape into the world again.
