I had been to a Realm before without knowing. After the fight with tempest, I had passed out and ended up in Glacidon.
I had never understood the method by which one enters the Realm. So when Druk raised his hand with bright light beaming all around him, I got startled beyond words. Druk looked at my bewildered face and muttered, "This is a power each citizen of a Realm possesses. I still don't know how I manage to do this." Saying so, he thrust his right hand further and the light from his hand flowed straight in front of him. It made a new circular pattern. The light full of different colors kept expanded. From the ground I saw support beams coming out. They stopped right below the light which had expanded well enough to fit even a giant.
The colorful light turned blue – the color of Glacidon – and the show finally came to an end. In front of us was a portal which would take us to another Realm. The support beam below the portal offered us a path leading up to it. I looked at Druk and he was exhausted. He didn't speak but I stated, "Yeah. Making a portal like this sure would be exhausting." He nodded. Sounge was just as amazed as I was. He would now be regretting that he listened to me to stay in Darknor.
I told Sounge a few instructions and not to wander off from the tree he was next to. The hermit was smart (smarter than me) and agreed to stay alert. Druk soon became fine and looked at me. "You wanna jump in?" He asked and walked up the path. I caught up with him. The portal was just an inch in front of me. I turned around to look at Sounge. Druk had gone inside already. Smiling at the hermit, I entered the portal. It took me a few seconds to take in all the changes around me. It was almost as if I had just walked out of a door. Everything around had changed including behind me where I found no hermit. The grass fields were no longer in sight. All that I saw was the weird world I had been to earlier.
We had reached Glacidon, Druk's home Realm. We seemed to be in a strange situation. Druk and I were standing on the roof of a two floored house and below us was water. "I told you, everything here is water. Even to get to houses, you need a boat or should know how to swim." Druk explained. The whole area was blue just like the water. The Realm had a bluish fog at the horizon. Even the houses were having different shades of blue and purple. A little bit of change in color was observed often but still I would happily rename this Realm as Blueland.
"How do we find a boat?" I asked. He replied, "We don't. We'll swim – I mean I'll swim." Saying so, Druk slowly slid down the house roof. I followed him asking, "What about me?" He dived into the water and declared, "For you, I am your boat, kid. Jump on my back. I'm no slower than a speedboat."
After safely making my way down the house, I sat on Druk's back who was all set for a speedy ride. "Fasten your seat belt, kid!" He announced. I didn't find any; so I clutched his back tightly. I am happy I did because Druk was not lying about his swimming skills. We travelled mass distances in seconds. Maybe this is why we require living for more than three hundred years. Speaking of which, I was reminded of Druk's mistress, Rebecca. I caught a very major detail in Druk's story. He was fifty years of age when he first met Rebecca. That meant the lady was well over the limit of a normal person to die.
"Your mistress, she helped you so long back. How is she still so young? What's her age?" I enquired with curiosity. Druk giggled, "You shouldn't ask a women's age, kid. But I'll still answer your queries. My mistress is almost four hundred years old. She was born with a boon given to hear by Lord Ison himself. Though a Darknorian God, Glacidon still worships him after he miraculously showed his divinity to Rebecca. As the legend goes, Lord Ison in our Realm has given the boon, to live for as long as you wish, to people who are destined for something special."
Druk's words had uplifted me to a good extent. In between all this sorrow and battle with enemies, listening to the stories of God is really something I have enjoyed since my birth. Lord Ison's tales seem unreal yet they stand on complete truth. Fortunate people like Rebecca are witnesses and proofs that the stories are not false. My one desire which I want to be fulfilled since a long time is to meet God Ison at least once. A small chat with him shall enlighten my life to great extent.
Druk continued, "Lord Ison's blessing has been bestowed to three more chiefs of our Realms apart from my mistress. Rebecca used to often repeat the story to me and relive it herself. 'My child,' Lord Ison's words went like this, 'you hereby attain the power to see the future. But do not narrate anything to the world. Only if I need you to, the future in the form of a prophecy shall be declared to the world. You will have a long life; your mission is bigger than most other chosen ones.' Since then, she often goes into a trance to foresee upcoming threats. Till today, a word hasn't been uttered by her about the future. But she did tell me once that a time will come to tell the right person a prophecy very ancient, told by Lord Ison himself. Then the real part of her mission shall begin." Druk's concluding lines were mysteriously interesting. I wondered when the lady shall finally speak up about what comes next.
Rebecca's boon to peek into the future would be the reason she could find where Druk was being chased by the watermen. She had already seen that they would be partners for lifetime. As these thoughts crossed my mind, we reached the shore. We had travelled quite a long time which seemed short due to Druk's narration.
