Since Yoon-Hwa works under Chef Han and they are in charge of the main cuisine, she tried to refuse her but Yoon-Hwa was persistent.
As soon as she touched the flour, Se-Young who was trying to get a hold of her hand pulled her but the disaster was written in fate and some of the flour flew over Se-Young’s face and since she had taken her mask off unconsciously while thinking about the hearing today, her respiratory system got triggered, as the air passage tightened. She was trying to cough but the heavy breaths were stopping her.
Yoon-Hwa panicked as Se-Young had her attack after such a long time in front of her. “What are you doing?” Jae-In came running to them and got her inhaler out of her granny bag.
He helped her to use the inhaler and finally, relief washed over all of them as Se-Young coughed normally and her breathing stabled.
Even juniors were worried, biting their nails looking at them. “What are you looking at? go do your works.” Jae-In said and all others rushed to do their respective works.
“Feeling fine?” he asked and Se-Young nodded slowly.
“Sorry Se-Young, it’s... it’s all my fault.” Yoon-Hwa started to sob like a child, sniffing in between.
Se-Young looked at her and then at Jae-In, who was already looking at her.
Both of them started to laugh at Yoon-Hwa. “Gosh, you look like a child whose candy was taken away.” Se-Young said trying to control her laughter and was about to get down from the counter but Jae-In held her shoulders.
“I think you should sit here for a while.” Se-Young looked at his hand which was on her shoulder and he instantly pulled it back. Se-Young smiled at him. “Thank you.”
Jae-In blinked as Se-Young smiled at him. He cleared his throat. “Mention not, we are friends.” he looked at her face to see her reaction and she slightly laughed. “Yes, we are friends.” he smiled back at her, scratching his head.
…
“Yoo-Na, are you sure about this. The offer is still valid.” Kang-Joon approached her as she was talking to her lawyer.
“You bas...” she controlled her mouth and awkwardly laughed looking at her lawyer.
She saw Ji-Hoon coming from the opposite direction with his lawyer and some family members. She went near Kang-Joon’s face and whispered, “I told you that I would rather let my company go bankrupt than getting help from you.” she gave her most ferocious glare to Kang-Joon and he just smiled at her sweetly.
“But I am forever loyal, just a single gesture and I will stand by your side. I will be waiting at the gallery behind the bar.” he said and left for the courtroom to see the ‘show’ according to him.
...
Ji-Hoon clenched his fist when he saw Yoo-Na leaning her face closer to that man. “No matter what happens, we cannot lose this case today.” he told his lawyer and the lawyer firmly nodded at him.
Dong-Hoon patted his shoulder. “Best of Luck.” Dong-Hoon lifted his fist in the air. “Thank You.” Ji-Hoon nodded and repeated the gesture.
...
The atmosphere of the courtroom was deadly while Kang-Joon was getting amused at every charge Ji-Hoon’s attorney presented.
It was now the defendant's attorney’s turn to deny the charges but to everyone's surprise, she accepted every single thing. “All the charges applied on my client are veritable but misguided.” soon the murmurs started among the audience behind the bar.
Both Shims and Parks were looking calm and the one who was confused was only Seo Kang-Joon.
Yoo-Na’s attorney gave some files to the clerk and the clerk observed them and then transferred them to the magistrate. “In the past when my client Park Yoo-Na’s company was in a contract with Mr. Seo Kang-Joon’s company, they happened to face a big loss because Seo Inc. was playing tricks behind them.”
Kang-Joon who was silently watching everything stood up. He looked furious and shouted, “WHY ARE YOU DIGGING THE PAST HERE?” the magistrate hit the gavel against the sound block twice at Kang-Joon's disrespectful behavior in the courtroom.
Some officers made him sit down to maintain the respectful environment of the courtroom and Yoo-Na’s attorney continued, “Thank you, sir.” she thanked the magistrate to shut Kang-Joon down. “After facing such a big loss, the contract was discarded between the companies but according to our research Mr. Seo was not done with his dirty tricks.”
Yoo-Na looked at Ji-Hoon who was already looking at her. She had lines of tension on her forehead but when Ji-Hoon gave her a reassuring smile, she got relaxed and smiled back at him while giving a small nod.
“The evidence I just presented, visibly shows that Mr. Seo tried to defame Parks and intervene in their business behind their back.” she said indicating the file she just gave the clerk.
Seo Kang-Joon could not do anything as the officers were around him. He just gripped onto the bar tightly, clenching his jaw.
Ji-Hoon’s attorney also stood up heading towards the clerk giving another file. “Your Honour, we also gathered the information related to the products which were vanished in the middle of supplying and found out that Mr. Seo was involved in the smuggling of Korean herbs and opium smuggling as well.”
Kang-Joon again tried to stand up, this time to run away from there but one officer made him sit on the chair again, he was instructed by Ji-Hoon in advance.
“Not only with Parks but this fraud occurred with many other companies. Through the study of previous records, I got to the conclusion that it was Seo Inc. that were involved during the downfall of the Choi Sung-Guk’s company.” Kang-Joon could not do anything. He felt like a defenseless sheep in front of a hungry wolf.
The magistrate went through all the evidence and nodded his head, understanding that both parties were not against each other but some third party was involved and was the culprit as well.
