Dong-Hoon, Se-Young and Se-Jung were now in the Hospital room as Se-Won was about to go for operation.
Everyone cheered him up as nurses and ward boys came to get him.
The three of them also followed him to the door of the operation theater. Dong-Hoon approached him. “If you surpass this level then I will help you debut.” Dong-Hoon whispered, winking at him.
Se-Won widened his eyes. “Really... How?” the young lad was sure excited yet unsure.
“To know that you need to get out safe and sound. Best of Luck Champ.” Dong-Hoon cheered him last time and he nodded enthusiastically. Then the ward boy pushed his stretcher inside.
“What were you saying?” Se-Young asked him with squinted eyes. “It’s between me and my brother-in-law.” Se-Young scoffed looking away from him and he just smiled in amusement.
“As if.” she rolled her eyes.
Now they have been waiting outside for the past three hours.
Although it was a very common operation, but they were still having sweats on their foreheads because nothing is impossible, any kind of injury or accident can occur inside the operation room.
Two of the doctors came outside getting rid of their masks and all three of them approached the doctors. “Congratulations, the operation was smooth. The patient is absolutely fine. He is under anesthesia and will wake up in an hour or two.” one of the doctors said he was in a higher position.
“Thank you.” Se-Young and Se-Jung said simultaneously and none of them seem to mind as the feeling of contentment was swirling around in their bodies.
The doctor left from there and Se-Young tightly hugged Dong-Hoon in excitement. Se-Jung was about to thank her again but looking at them he just left from there to Se-Won’s room.
“Se-Young, I would like to hug you all day long but we are standing outside the operation theater.” he said suppressing his laughter.
Blushing with embarrassment she pulled away instantly. “I... I was just excited.” she also ran away towards Se-Won’s room.
“Don’t run.” Dong-Hoon said making her slow down her pace and he chuckled at her silliness and also left from there.
...
“I have a business event to attend so I will not be able to come here with you tomorrow.” Dong-Hoon told Se-Young. “So, you don’t need a date for that?” she asked him.
“Why? Do you want to be my date?” he asked cheekily and Se-Young sighed while shaking her head. “Don’t be too delusional, I was asking because you have helped me quite a lot.” she made it clear that she had no ulterior motives.
“Tsk, when will you stop playing hard to get and by the way, I don’t need a date for tomorrow but would be happy to have one beside me.” he gave her a suggestive look and she just rolled her eyes and went inside Se-Won’s room followed by him.
“Hello Big sis, hello Mr. Shim.” Se-Won smiled at them.
“How many times I need to tell you, just Big bro is fine.” Dong-Hoon said but Se-Won did not say anything and just smiled.
Se-Young placed the fruits on the side table and then took out two apples. She went to wash them.
Meanwhile, Dong-Hoon winked at Se-Won and he understood that Dong-Hoon was asking him to play along.
Se-Young came back and sat on the chair beside the bed and started to peel the apples.
“Well, I always wondered why you are so short. Like, look at Mr. Lee and Se-Won. Both of them are tall then why are you so short.” Dong-Hoon said controlling his laughter.
Se-Young was looking at him with a questioning look since that came out of nowhere. “Yes, I wonder too. I am only nineteen and look at me. You barely reach our shoulders.” Se-Won backed up Dong-Hoon's joke.
Now Se-Young was looking at her brother, blinking rapidly, not understanding why out of nowhere both of them were roasting her for her short height.
“First of all, my height is perfect. It's just you guys are giants. Second, I at least reach your noses.” she said rubbing her index finger under her nose. “And third, stop playing along with his jokes.” Se-Young slightly bumped her fist with Se-Won’s head.
He liked it whenever Se-Young behaved like an actual sister, getting pissed at him so he just chuckled rubbing his head. “tsk, tsk, tsk, I have never seen someone beating a patient.” Dong-Hoon shook his head while tutting.
“Then I can hurt you since you are not one.” she showed him the knife in her hand with an evil grin but both Se-Won and Dong-Hoon burst out laughing followed by her.
…
“Should I help Mr. Lee to get a proper job.” Dong-Hoon asked since Se-Jung was still following the same routine. “No need, he can do whatever he wants. I only care about my brother and nothing else.” Dong-Hoon nodded taking a note.
“Oh yes, I forgot to tell you. Someone will visit Se-Won tomorrow.”
“Who?” Se-Young asked.
“Surprise.” he smiled at her, ruffling her hair.
“Don’t.” she protested but it was in vain. She just huffed slapping his hands away.
…
The next day Se-Young was leaving early for Hospital than usual but to her surprise, Jae-In was waiting outside in the parking lot for her.
She frowned her eyebrows at him. After a whole week of silence, he was approaching her now again.
She ignored him and put off her scooty’s stand but Jae-In placed his right hand on hers.
She glared at him and tried to snatch her hand away but he grabbed her wrist tightly instead, making Se-Young angry.
“What are you up to now?” she said loudly.
“Let me just say what I want then I will not bother you no more.” he said looking into her eyes.
Se-Young was getting impatient and again tried to jerk her hand away but yet again it was in vain as Jae-In's grip was getting tighter. "What is wrong with you, leave my hand." she was struggling but he was not ready to let go before she could hear him out.
