Bending down Se-Young unpacked the courier but what she saw and read left her shaken to her core.
...
Dong-Hoon was going towards the parking lot after an exhausting day but he never imagined finding Se-Young, leaning against his car. He frowned his eyebrows and went near her, her head was down and maybe her eyes were closed.
“Se-Young-ssi.” he called her and she lifted her head, making Dong-Hoon widened his eyes. She was crying and looking very pale.
Se-Young took a step forward and rested her head on his chest and she started to cry her heart out clutching his shirt in her hands.
Dong-Hoon was in panic mode now. “Are you fine or are you hurt somewhere?” he worriedly asked placing his hand on her head so she slightly shook her head as her cries got louder and louder.
“Don’t cry like that. Your breathing pattern will make you ill.” he caressed her hair but she was nowhere near done with her wailing. “Is it because of Min Eun-Bi?” he again asked and she again shook her head in denial.
“Please don’t cry.” he said in his soft voice but she still kept crying and hiccupping. His heart was shattering with every passing second looking at the woman whom he likes so much crying like that and he kept patting her back and caressing her hair as the wind passed them like any other passerby. He thought maybe giving some silent warmth will calm her down.
Finally, she calmed after what seemed like forever. She lifted her head looking at him and he bent his head to meet their eyes. “Is everything fine?” he asked again now that she was not crying anymore but he was still hesitant as her eyes and nose were crimson red.
She shook her head once again, “Nothing is fine. Nothing.” she said in a breathy tone.
…
Ji-Hoon was going through some files and he smirked. “My plan will be definitely successful.” he was really confident about something, maybe a blast was soon to occur.
…
Everyone was now at the dinner table except Dong-Hoon and Se-Young. Jung-Nan took care of the kitchen thinking that they might be running late.
“Did you contact Dong-Hoon?” Jung-Nan asked Min-Hoon at which he simply shook his head from left to right and then from right to left.
“I will call him myself after dinner.” she gave her husband a disappointed look.
After dinner, Hani and Tae-Hoon were on their movie plan since Hani’s father agreed to the deal. He was really tired but still kept his promise.
Both of them were sitting on Hani’s bed spreading their legs forward, half of their bodies covered with a blanket.
Tae-Hoon made sure to put on a comedy movie so that her mood swings would not appear out of anywhere.
Hani was enjoying the movie while Sung-Hoon was ready to fall asleep at any moment, the movie was not even halfway when he leaned back and closed his eyes to take some rest.
Hani realized after a moment later that Tae-Hoon had fallen asleep in that position, leaning with the headrest so she paused the movie.
“Tae-Hoon.” she whispered and did not get any answer.
“Taeeee-Hooooonnn.” she again whispered enjoying the moment like a child and giggled when he did not answer yet again.
She moved closer to his face and again whispered, “Taeeeee Taeeeee.” he still did not answer her and now she was sure that he was fast asleep now.
“You know, you are so cute when you are sleeping but you are very naughty when you are awake.” she again giggled and brought her hand closer to his face to his bangs aside with her index finger trailing along his hairline.
“Why so handsome.” she again whispered. “I think... I like you, for real.” she smiled at him even though he could not see it. “But I think you don’t.” and then she pouted.
She brought her face closer to him to peck his cheek but to her bad luck or her luck, we may say, Tae-Hoon moved his head and her lips landed on his.
He jolted herself back instantly widening her eyes and placed her hand on her mouth. “Why are you so stupid.” she hit her head with her hand making a fist.
“Thank goodness he is sleeping.” she buried her face in her hands in embarrassment but little did she know Tae-Hoon was awake.
…
“So, you are back now.” Eun-Woo said glaring at his sister who just entered the hall through the front door. “What’s with you.” she frowned her eyebrows walking towards him.
“This question should be mine. I warned you. Why you went there again. Are not you tired after trying to block the deal? You were literally haunting his business and he had a girlfriend now, for God's sake.” he was being dead serious.
She just rolled her eyes. “So, what? You refused to help after his father rejected us.” she sarcastically said.
“Min Eun-Bi, I suggest you act wisely. If I find you doing anything again then you will see what you have been missing in your life.” his voice was really scary and she knew he could be very dauntiing if his level of tolerance was crossed.
Without saying anything she left from the hall to her room. “This is really the last warning.” Eun-Woo shouted to remind her once more.
…
“Nothing... Nothing is fine.” Se-Young said in a breathy tone.
~Flashback~
She opened the flat-box courier frowning her eyebrows since there was no name of the sender and she found an envelope and some photographs.
Her eyes widened looking at the pictures. The first picture was of a baby having a big scar on his chest, laying in the hospital bed. It seemed as if the baby had heart surgery.
With shaking hands, she put the picture in the last letting the second one up. It was still the same baby but his scar was now lighter in color leaving only a slight long line instead of the previous dark thick one.
