A sweat covered woman clung to the sheets of the bed, as another contraction hit her. Her breathing was heavy, and her green eyes were filled with unbearable pain.
The woman birthing would be considered beautiful, during the best of times. Giving birth is certainly not the best of times.
"It is time, milady. The baby is coming," the Maester announced. The Maester suddenly crouched between the mother's legs. The cry of a babies soon fills the room.
The door is slammed open as a man walked into the room with calculated steps, till he stops by the woman, then kisses her forehead for some seconds and retracts to see the child as he whispers: "so you are the one, the one that will lead us to glory, the one that will show us mercy, Leonidas of the House of Martell, the one that will become King"
