Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

Words can never describe the amount of remorse a person is feeling. It stings every corner of my heart for Nathan's face to stick before my eyes. I denied my sins for as long as I can remember. My therapist used to advise me of the consequences of my acts, but I never listen to anyone.

Call it my repentance, some of my sins are wash away.

"We can make a deal if you cooperate." I kept an anticipatory stare at him. I recently learned the name of the mustache guy, Brown. Suits his personality, honestly.

"We're not supposed to talk." He hesitated. Miraculously, I could see the sun after days as it radiated the dark warehouse. Every hidden corner of the place was visible, and I noticed some of its parts burned. The irritating blinding lights were gone, and the natural light was feeding me its natural energy.

"Do not worry, mate. No one needs to know our arrangement." I could see his considering features as I encouraged him. "You help me. I help you."

He signed but not rejected me, and it was a new hope for me. "Look, man, I guarantee you whatever you want. Just help me out of here."

"But you got nothing on yourself right now." He argued. "How can I trust you that you wouldn't forget your promise?"

I had no answer to that. Trust is everything in a deal that we clearly do not have between us. I silently sat there, waiting for him to leave me alone once again. "Don't tell anyone about our conversation, or else I would be getting in trouble."

"And what if I do?" It struck me at the last moment when he was about to leave. "Will you help me if I threaten you?"

"You do not want to do that." He warns, but I am determined to get somewhere with him. It might be my last chance to ever get out of this hell hole. My endurance is bursting.

"I begged you, but you rejected me. I am desperate, and you know it. I would give away anything just to get back home." I yelled. My eyes are teary from the sudden rush of emotions. He does not understand me, and it is suffocating to breathe in a place like this. It is making me claustrophobic.

All my life, I have learn to forgive and forget, but perhaps they do not deserve my mercy. The wrongdoers will pay for their sins: that's what my father has always taught me.

I closed my eyes for the tears to not fall shamelessly, and I breathe rapidly with my mind all over the place from my precipitous sentiments. I did not notice him approaching me, but I heard his dramatic breathing intended for me to notice, and I opened my eyes.

"Look, I really cannot help you, man." He was whispering, and I did not understand his action, but I had to cooperate. His lips moved much more limited than necessary, "But you can always scream."

I squinted my eyes towards him in confusion; he acted as if he was checking my restraints. I doubted if I was under constant surveillance, but I did not spot any cameras in the rooms, but he seemed cautious with his every action.

Before I could ask him anything further, he retreated out of my sight and closed the door behind him. I never managed to look past that door. Their giant bodies always cover my view.

"Hey, wait!" I called after him as I came back to my senses. "Stop. I need your help, don't leave me yet." I struggle against the bond without expecting any success. I feel like someday, this restraint will cut off my blood supply. I could already feel the soreness around my wrists and ankles.

I promise to always carry a knife in every outfit I wear if I ever get out of here.

It is probably more than a week that I have been held captive, and they have not considered bringing me a fresh pair of clothes. Maybe they do not care about my hygiene, but I have never gone around in the same attire for more than two days.

I was gross-out, but I got used to the smell of my own vomit coming from my clothes for five days, but the smell went away when they have soaked in my own blood two days ago. They treated my wounds while I was still unconscious, but it still hurt like hell. I heard the doctor assure them that there was no internal bleeding, but a few of my ribs had minor damages.

Unintentionally following the idea Brown provided me, I continued calling them constantly. Soon enough, the door slammed open, and I saw a few people walking inside.

Four men followed the girl, who slammed the door open in rage. And I wondered if God did justice to her appearance. Tanned skin complexion with straight brown hair shone under the rays of the sun falling from the window. She was taller than the usual girls I have met and might compete with a model with her sharp grace.

She closed near, and my instincts scream to me that she was the leader and my culprit. "You are quite a nuisance," I grunted at her greetings.

"Finally, you came," I smirk, knowing Brown's plan worked.

"You made me." She quietly said. Her Hazel eyes spoke furious to me, but she did not scare me.

It was a woman who kidnapped me. Even in a situation like this, my player instincts convince my mind that I have slept with her but do not remember, and the next thing she will ask me is if I know her.

"Do you know me?" she asked.

BINGO!

I chuckled at my prediction, but she failed to respond to that. "No. But I can assure you that you'll pay for this." Now it was her turn to laugh at me.

I have never hit a woman, but she was tempting me too. "My father will find me. Sooner or later."

"Oh really! Papa's boy." She teased. No matter how hard I try to remember her face but the space of my memories seemed to appear vacant.

Maybe I never slept with her!

If I never slept with her, then what does she want from me?

"Call your father for me, please, then. You know telepathy, right?" Her derision smirk never left her face, but I responded with a glare. She gestured to one of her men to bring her a chair. She sighs when she settles in front of me.

"Look, Cedric, there's nothing personal between us. It's between your father and me." She said.

"What's between you and my father concerns me too, and I am obliged to know because the one who is suffering here is me." I made her register my discomforts. Her movements were sluggish, but what irritated me was her nonacceptance of my sufferings.

"Suffering? I thought I was presenting you the most magical moments of your life."

"It is magical. Someone has never kidnapped me before, and ironically I thought this was the wonderland." I countered back. I did a little victory dance in my mind when I got no response from her.

We never break our gaze from each other. She scratched her right ear a little, and I found amusement in her eyes rather than the rage that I witnessed earlier.

Finally, she decided to leave as she got on her feet, and I was glad to not get to see her face again, but at the same time, I was desperate to get her whatever she wanted and left this place.

"What happens to me next?" I asked when she opened the door to leave. Her fingers held the door and taps on the door in rhythm as she thought quickly.

"You wait." She responded.
