The banging on the door grew more erratic as I hid behind the sofa of the small apartment I called home. As the door withheld the attacker, I could hear grunts of exertion after each bang.
"We know you are in there Felicity. Just open the door you bitch!" the voice shouted in between bursts of loud pounding. I recognised the voice as belonging to Barry, what does he want? What did I do to him ? I thought through streaking tears that fell down my face in a salty stream that dripped into my quivering mouth. I embraced my knees, holding them close to my chest, I could hear a second erratic thumping sound pulsing through me that was as loud as the rapping on the door that resisted the would be intruders. Is that my heartbeat? Why is it so loud? I thought as I found myself weeping harder, the fear growing more present with each beat on the door. "Stop making this more difficult than it needs to be!" He roared all the while slamming into the door that protected me. Other than the beating, I heard another sound that made me jump to my feet, the sound of cracking wood twang through the air. I glanced at the bathroom, I could lock myself in there? I thought, before shaking my head, No, I, I need to get out of here! I looked to the window, considering the height, but as I found my feet rooted to the ground, unable to move, the rhythmic barrages on the door suddenly quelled, which caused the thumping in my heart to become all the more potent. After a few moments of quiet, the door suddenly flew off of its hinges, skidding towards the window opposite and I screamed as a lanky figure stepped into the room, shortly followed by Barry.
"This is the girl you are after?" the stranger said, looking me up and down with a gaze that made me feel sick. "I know you like them small, but she looks like a teenager."
"She's our age you fuckwit, we made enough noise as it is, we should move to somewhere more private," I looked to the bathroom and to the open door, both options would mean having to get past them. I tried to run, but why wasn't I moving? Please, please, I begged myself, move, please.
"Hey, what are you two doing?" I felt a wave of relief flow through me. "I've called the cops, they are on their -" the voice stopped and I heard a gurgling noise as a body fell onto the doorway, blood flowing onto the carpet. I screamed at the sight.
"Shut her up!" Barry ordered, pointing at the other man. My legs seemed to listen to me as I ran around the sofa, but I felt the stranger's hand grab my hair, lurching me backwards. I fell to the floor, tears blurring the sight around me as I shuffled away from everything. Dread shot through me as I found myself unable to move any further away from the danger.
"Please, please," I pleaded as the stranger approached, but my pleading only seemed to make him more excited as he reached down and grabbed my hair once again. I clawed at his hand, but it held firm, until a sudden pain threw me into a world of darkness.

Another girl was thrown into the room, bound at the wrists and feet and a ball gag in her drooling mouth. As the door closed leaving us alone again, I shot forwards, loosening the girls' bonds to a degree that they still looked taught, but a sudden movement would break them. The other people in the room kept a lookout, keeping their ears to the door and to the floor, we had to be ready to make a break for it if we ever saw a chance. With a motion from one of the others, I shifted back to my original place as yet another girl was tossed into the room by that man with the lecherous grin. This one seemed familiar, but as soon as the door closed, I sprang into action once again. The darkness was an ally in those moments, my eyes had adjusted to it, but I knew that our guards couldn't see the small details like I could.
"Helen, get back!" James whispered with a degree of urgency and I shuffled away from the blonde. As I did so, the door opened once more and three figures stood overlooking the group of us.
"Bunch of fucking animals!" one of them said, looking at the man who stood in the middle.
"People with power tend to do this to those without. It makes them seem more powerful, this unfortunately becomes more common," the other man said as the third figure stepped into the room.
"Jacob, could you brighten the place up?" the third man stated, turning all the while.
"Give me a sec," the taller man stepped in next and I flinched as he held his palms to the ceiling and crimson flames flowed out of his hands. A few people in the room screamed, but I just looked on at the sight with fervent intrigue.
"Don't worry, we are here to get you guys out. I'm Sebastian," he gestured at the tall man, "he's Jacob, and that is Isaac," he motioned with his head to the man who remained at the entrance. "Is anyone injured ?" The people in the room looked at me and I stood, breaking the ropes that tied me. I don't know what it was, but seeing them made me feel safe. Maybe it was the concern in the man's, in Sebastian's eyes, or the fury that seemed to dwell within Jacob's. I turned to the others, who followed my action, breaking their bonds too.
"We were all unconscious when we were brought here," I stated, looking amongst the fifteen others who were awake, remembering the moist feeling as I unbound their legs and arms.
"Ashlea," Isaac called out, and a new figure joined them, looking at the group of us with a horrified expression. She breathed out and splayed her hands in front of her, nothing seemed to happen, but I suddenly felt the small scrapes on my arms mend together.
"Let's get you out of here," Sebastian muttered, gesturing to the open door. As we followed Sebastian out of the room, Isaac entered, looking at the two unconscious girls.

I awoke bound to a bed. I thrashed, feeling the taught rope bite into my wrists and ankles. I screamed and pulled on the bonds harder. Blood dripped down my arms, but in that moment, only panic ruled my mind.
"I love it when they squirm, thinking they can get out, then when the dread settles in, it just makes it all the more sweet," the voice caused my body to freeze, suddenly, I could no longer scream, I knew I was doing it, but no sound came out from my lips. "Shhh, don't fret now, just leave everything to me."

T2 2025 - Where is she? She has to be here! I looked about the room once again, seeing no sign of my sister. That's when I heard it, another scream in the distance.
"Sebastian! Jacob!" I shouted as I broke into a sprint, they had both heard the scream too. Jacob caught up to me with ease, then passed by with anger contorting his face. Sebastian was not far behind as he also caught up.

Fire turned the door to the cell to ash, causing the man to fly backwards from the force. I finally found myself able to move and scream as a tall man entered the room, wreathed in a cloak of black smoke that rubbed against his body. Rage bubbled outwards from the man, and the room seemed to rise in temperature with it.
"Jacob stop!" another, familiar voice shouted, before entering the room. Tears fell down my face as I looked at Isaac, but he seemed, different, more composed even. He ignored me, stalking towards the man who slumped unconscious against the wall, a halo of blood splattered above him, drooling downwards. The sound of Isaac's fist against the man caused even the angry man to flinch, I just looked at him, surprised at his outburst.
"Isaac, stop," said a new figure, "stop." Isaac looked down at the man, before turning to face me and the look in his eyes made me shudder involuntarily. They seemed, aged, but that made no sense. But whether it was his smile, or his posture, something just didn't seem right.
"Take his power Sebastian, then kill him." I gasped at the casual nature of his words.
"Isaac?" I asked.
"I'm sorry," he responded, but once again, the reply felt hollow, as if he was speaking to someone else.
