The vines intertwined steadily, while scales began to cover it. Soon the vines formed a straight golden spear, which Tang Wulin casually equipped. He stabbed the blunt edge to the ground as he stood steadily. His eyes were serious. His very being was that of an emperor, unyielding and unmoved.
"Since when are you a spear user?", Ye Xinglan raised an eyebrow.
"Not important", Tang wulin replied casually causing Ye Xinglan to narrow her eyes.
Ye Xinglan brandished her sword as charged towards Tang Wulin, while starlight was emitting from her whole body.
Tang Wulin waited calmly, not in any hurry to attack.
As she got close, Ye Xinglan's souls ring lit up, and her Stargod sword shined brightly.

She slashed her sword towards Tang wulin, who twisted his right wrist, parrying the incoming slash with the spear. His left palm gripped on the top edge so as to support the spear. But other than that, his whole body was unmoved.
Ye Xinglan's eyes widened, as she saw Tang Wulin was able to easily able to block her skill. She quickly jumped back, retreating.
"She really is powerful", Tang Wulin thought, as he looked at the cut left on the spear. He had equipped the spear with Golden Dragon body, but Ye Xinglan was able to leave a cut, despite the toughness of the scales.
Tang Wulin narrowed his eyes seriously. He then, quickly dashed towards Ye Xinglan, with lightning sparks emitting from his feet, and his body flicking here and there, leaving after images

His speed was so fast, he reached Ye Xinglan instantly. But she quickly defended, despite her shock.
"Nice reflexes ", Tang Wulin compliment, but he swiftly rotated the spear, causing the blunt end of the spear to aim towards Ye Xinglan's head.
Ye Xinglan arched her back, avoiding the spear. She twisted her body to deliver a kick on Tang Wulin's head.
Suddenly vines intertwined around her leg that was on the ground, causing her to loose her balance, and fall on the ground, while more vines bound around her.

Without a moment of hesitation, Tang Wulin pointed the spear near Ye Xinglan's neck, his gaze was cold as he spoke, "Don't underestimate my spearmanship ".
That gaze was so cold and distant, it was as if she was looking into the cold ocean of the north. It caused a chill run down her spine.
That's right. Ye Xinglan didn't believe Tang Wulin would have high level of spear mastery since she was sure he only started it recently. So she decided to beat him on swordsmanship, while limiting her soul skill use.
But boy was she wrong~
Tang wulin had complete control over her and her sword. He was completely able to find the openings she gave away, no matter how narrow they were. His movements were so quick and precise, even she felt, her swordsmaship was inferior to Tang Wulin's spearmanship.
Wulin stepped back, retracting the vines. Ye Xinglan understood that he wasn't satisfied with it. She also stepped back and took her stance.
Match began again, and Tang Wulin decided to take the initiative. Vines spread out under his feet and raced towards Ye Xinglan, as is snakes hunting its pray.
Ye Xinglan quickly used her first soul skill to fit through those vines, but the tenacity of the vines surprised her. But in the end, her swordplay elegantly slashed the vines.

Astounding everyone, Tang Wulin was standing in the air, with his spear in had. A bluish silver thorn, that seemed to piece through space, became a platform for him. He stood there like an emperor, looking down on the world. His gaze, calm as the river, yet deep as the sea, and cold as the ocean. A black thorny crown with gold edge decorated his head.
"Is that his third soul skill? Long Thorn that cuts through space? And is that a skull bone?", this was the thought of everyone. They figured out that the thorn dragon must have become his spirit soul, and knew he recieved two soul bones. But the skull bone was a surprise for everyone.
"Did he get three skull bones? It seems to belong to the thorn dragon. But how come the spirit Pagoda couldn't detect it? Is it because of this second consciousness within Tang Wulin? ", Gu Yue speculated in her mind. The thought of a second consciousness couldn't help but make Gu Yue a bit uneasy.
