Rathus stirred late the next afternoon, feeling more relaxed than he had in months as he absently stroked the soft creamy skin of Hilda's bare back. He had never intended to let himself go like that, certainly not to the point he'd spend a full day in bed making love, but he was almost glad he had. It could've been the exotic incense that filled the air, the pleasantly plush pillows, or the delightfully dim atmosphere, but whatever the reason, Rathus felt remarkably at ease.
"Are you looking to start another round?" Beside him, Hilda was practically purring. He could only guess she had been feeling as pent up as he had.
"No," Rathus replied, though he offered her a kiss on the head. "Just marveling at how much a miracle worker you are."
"Flatterer," She giggled, cuddling in closer. For a few more moments, he was content to lay there a gently rub her hair and back in a daze. He couldn't help but appreciate the irony of the situation.
