"Fear is an effective tool?" Jemma repeated questioningly. "Are those not the words of a tyrant?"
"Every king, good or bad, will likely be viewed as a tyrant by someone," Emerick replied. "Just look at my father. The majority loves him, but he's still called 'Tyrant' is he not?"
"You always appear to have a logical, if not motivating excuse in your repertoire when questioned," Jemma noted. "Perhaps you are, in fact, nothing more than a scoundrel with a slight moral compass."
"No, I'm the wayward bastard of the royal family," Emerick replied with a wink. "Get it right!"
Jemma seemed to have more to say, but he opened the door to his father's study before she was given a chance to respond. Was he a good guy, in the grand scheme of things? Who was he to say? In the end, his intentions wouldn't matter much to anyone beyond himself, only his actions and what came of them.
"I demand to know what this is all about Arnwald!"
