'You know, it was only a matter of time before this happened,' Lamya stated.
Trixie didn't feel like hearing it. The day prior had been pretty rough, so she hadn't questioned it when Emerick went to sleep without initiating any sort of intamacy, however she hadn't expected to fall asleep beside him only to find him gone when she woke the next morning. To make matters worse, it turned out he wasn't even on the estate grounds anymore. He had simply vanished.
'It's not as though he hasn't had to wake up and leave before you in the past,' Lamya pointed out. 'These situations usually involve his mother. I will bet she summoned him for some special mission or other.'
Trixie continued to ignore the demon. What she said made some sense, however Trixie was far too peeved to want to think logically at the moment. Assignment or no, he could have at least given her some kind of heads up.
