Emerick stared at the king as he found his seat across from him. He knew he needed to focus. This discussion was critical to the kingdom, and likely his own future. Even so, Jerome's pretty boy charms were extremely distracting. If it weren't for his broad, muscular shoulders and deep, masculine voice, Emerick would've mistook him as female. The length of the man's eyelashes was criminal, as was the absolute absence of frizz in his sleek hair and the soft, resilient flawlessness of his fair skin. Emerick felt it might be an effective marketing tool to slap this guy's face on the front of Titus's new line of high end beauty products.
"Let us begin with the main course." Until he spoke, Emerick hadn't even realized Ace was in the room as well. "Both of the meal, and this discussion."
With a clap from the Duke, a series of wait staff flooded the room, arms laden with trays upon trays of food. It almost felt excessive for only three people.
