Tears poured down Trixie's cheeks, and she dropped to her knees, her hands covering her mouth. At once, Deemer looked alarmed.
"Are you alright my dear?" He questioned, dropping to his knees beside her to investigate. "Is it not to your liking? Have I offended you in some way?"
Words wouldn't form. It was too much! It was all too much! He couldn't have possibly had all of this prepared in two weeks! How long had he been planning and preparing this? And how could he have done it all by himself? How could he afford something like this, for that matter? It had to have cost him a fortune! One that easily tripled the cost of the kids' schooling! Why would he do this for her?!
"Wh-why?!" She sobbed. "Wh-why did you do this?! W-we're s-supposed to b-be staying in o-one of your sm-smaller homes... a-aren't we?"
