"Those were quite the tense negotiations, Syre," Jacoby commented. "Are you satisfied with how they turned out?"
"The negotiations themselves? Yes, very much. The bruises on my cheeks? Not so much." Emerick rubbed his aching cheek as he spoke. It would likely be red for days. Though Jacoby was behind him, Emerick could practically feel his smile.
"It's nice to see Queen Alicia broadening her horizons," Jacoby observed. "It's not often she handles matters of diplomacy... not in such a peaceful setting in any case."
"Yes," Emerick sighed. "She could hardly contain her excitement, that's for sure. What do you think of how events played out?"
"I think that Ellie woman that Trixie hired spoils her too much," Jacoby scoffed.
