"To what do I owe the pleasure of this invitation?" Emerick questioned as he took a seat at the little round tea table along with Trixie and Count Deemer. "You typically don't like to share your time with Miss Trixie."
"There was something I wanted to discuss with the two of you," Count Deemer replied as Ellie started pouring the tea.
Jacoby stood rigidly at Emerick's side, failing spectacularly to hide his frustration. Fortunately, the count was polite enough to pretend not to notice. The sudden appointment of Trixie's new handmaiden had taken Emerick by surprise, though he was grateful for her, even if she and Jacoby butted heads almost everytime they crossed paths now.
"I overheard Miss Ellie mentioning a topic that I feel has been overlooked in the midst of the chaos caused by King Arnwald's sudden departure," Deemer continued.
