"You alright in there?" Titus called. Only a few weeks had passed since their wedding and the revelation of Rosalie's pregnancy, but notwithstanding the emerging morning sickness, Titus found them to be the best weeks of his life thus far.
"About as well as can be expected," Rosalie replied meekly with a cough. "I'm probably going to be a bit longer."
"Take all the time you need," Titus replied with a sigh. There's wasn't any point in trying to hurry her anyway.
While he waited he looked around the small living space above her shop with satisfaction. Since moving in, he'd helped her with a few repairs around the house. Nothing big, fixing a chair leg here, adjusting a creaking door there, but it made a world of difference. The more work he put into the house, the more it felt like a true home.
