As promised, Jacoby came to fetch Emerick bright and early the next morning. Despite their best efforts to relax, he and Trixie had been too restless to sleep much at all, so the butler was pleasantly surprised to find Emerick up and ready to go. Trixie gave him an affectionate kiss and squeezed his hand as he departed.
"Did you discuss the implications of yesterday's battle with her?" Jacoby aked as he glanced past Emerick to where Trixie was pacing the floor."
"I summarized," Emerick replied with a sigh. "All things considering, she's taking the news fairly well."
"Have you two decided what you will do about the move?" Jacoby checked.
"Nope," Emerick shook his head. "I need more information before we start discussing all that. I am curious what the courier has to say."
