Jacoby regarded Trixie with a calculating stare. For a few more minutes, he didn't say or do anything. Trixie braced for what she felt was an inevitable lecture. Something about change being inevitable, or whatever.
"Walk with me," he finally said some time later. He promptly turned on his heel and started marching away off the field. Trixie practically had to run to keep up with his long, quick strides.
"Where we going?" She questioned through heavy breathing. "We aren't finished with my routine yet!"
"I fear that to press on in that course would end with your brains bashed out upon the dummy," Jacoby replied. "Today, it seems, you require a unique type of instruction."
So saying, he lead her through the garden, past the manor, and out to the stables. Inside, Riply was startled to see them. From the looks of things, he'd been in the midst of feeding the horses.
