In the days that followed, most of the household hoped everything would, more or less, return to normal. Unfortunately, upon the conclusion of the investigation, life became more hectic than ever. Training was held every single day, and even the youngest of the children-all around age six or seven now-were expected to participate.
Milo, Orval's adopted son, was responsible for teaching these kids basic self defense and some hand to hand combat. A few that were adept in the art were also beginning to learn magical fundamentals from Lydia, one of Jacoby's nieces who had volunteered to assist. She was aided by her mother who was teaching more intermediate levels to the older children and teens. A few, such as Sullivan, were learning faster than they could be taught.
