Back down on Earth inside a secret laboratory. Sedated inside a cell was a grey figure covered in scales. This creature was fairly large standing over eight feet tall and had limbs thicker than mens waists.
Outside the cell looking in, an old general looked in without any fluctuation of emotion. Even if the creature inside was his grandson. Looking to his left where the lead scientist was reporting the recent change.
"Why does he look like that?" The General asked.
It was a few hours ago when he received a report where Todd suddenly went underneath a change. At first everyone just thought he had a reaction, but his skin suddenly turned to scales and his skin faded to gray. Then as his hair fell out, his muscles began to rapidly expand as his height increased.
"We added a bit of Abomination blood since we learned it could speed up his change. However, a small accident that had a small chance appearing within our calculation happened. It reacted to the Viltrumite and Ragnar blood." The man replied. "For what changes happen to his mind we aren't sure but his physical strength. We estimate it to be around the Hulk or even surpass it."
"It's not enough. The Sentry could easily beat the Hulk, not to mention Superman." The General nearly sneered.
"Sir, this is just what we estimated and only the beginning. Even as we speak his change is still happening and his strength is rapidly increasing. As the blood inside riots the stronger he grows as the blood seems to be competing to be the dominant one."
Nodding as he calmed down, the General noticed a few odd things slowly growing. From Todd's elbows and knuckles, jagged spikes appeared to be growing. Even from his chest he noticed bone-like pieces that seemed to be growing.
"What is going on?" The General asked.
"We guessed due to blood fighting for dominance, Todd seems to be taking on some extra features." The Scientist just casually shrugged.
Pulling a small vial of blood that had a small golden tint, the General passed it to the man. On the slip of paper, the name of Sentry was written on it.
"This is a vial of Sentry blood. Add it." the General spoke.
"Umm, sir. We will need to run a few tests first or we may end up just killing him." The scientist spoke.
"Just do it." The General said before one last look before leaving. "Keep me updated on the progress."
Shaking his head behind the general the scientist just looked on beyond the glass. A smile naturally blossomed as if looking at a giant pile of gold.

Down on a dust planet, two figures appeared as a ship rose up into the sky. One stood with natural pride as energy seemed to be crackling around him as his trident tail swung happily. The other, seemed almost bored as he let out a small yawn in casual clothes.
"Where's your cape?" Gid asked.
"At the laundromat." Jason replied without hesitation.
"So where is our target?" Gid got serious as he looked at the surroundings.
What appeared before them were barren lands and ruins. Ships that laid abandoned and half collapsed cities. It was almost a miracle that they could see small patches of life growing in spots.
"He should be straight ahead of us." Jason answered. "It's the only spot with humanoid language."
"Great, let's get going. I can't wait." Gid laughed happily.
Arriving at a half wrecked building, there sitting on a throne raised up on a platform. A purple humanoid sat there in armor as he looked down at the two uninvited guests. On one of his hands a golden glove was there alongside three gems.
"Why are you here?" The titan spoke.
"To fight of course." Jason spoke carelessly.
"You have been very bad, Thanos. We had a deal where you would not touch my territory." Gid spoke. "Now you dare put my wife in danger."
"If I say it for the greater future, will you leave, Gid?" Thanos spoke.
Shaking his head, Gid began unleashing his power as an energy beam gathered on the tip of his tail. Vaporizing the throne in less than a second, Thanos vanished before appearing behind them. On his glove the gem lit up.
"Then die."
Punching Thanos, Jason was pretty surprised by the man's strength. Besides sliding backwards and a surprised look, he was pretty fine. Vanishing from his sport, Jason slowly increased his strength as he continued to punch the titan.
"Enough." Thanos said before a gem glowed and Jason found himself kicked far away.
Taking the small window to attack, Gid watched as a second gem glowed and his energy beam turned into a puddle of water. Frowning as this fight was going to be tougher than he thought it would be.
In a flash, Jason returned and unleashed a heat blast at the glove. At first he thought it was working but found his own attack reflected back at him.
--
As the battle dragged out as the planet took a beating. From massive attacks scared the landscape to meteors and a moon called down by Thanos. It went on for nearly two hours before Thanos was left kneeling before the two.
Beaten and mostly bruised mostly from his own attacks reflected at him. Jason felt pain he hasn't felt in a while, since the last time he felt like this was when he fought the Void.
"I lost?" Thanos mumbled as he looked lost.
"Yes." Jason said as his entire top was torn apart. A part of him wished he brought along his suit so his clothes were a bit more durable.
"Why, I just wanted to lead the universe to a great future. To lead everyone so they don't have to worry about starvation or resource shortages."
"Killing half the universe isn't the answer, Thanos. While it would work, in time the population will grow creating an unending cycle." Gid replied as he slowly shrunk down again.
Thanks to this battle his power was over drafted and he returned to the form of a child once more. This time he felt it shouldn't last that long and only should be a week or two before he returns to normal.
"I guess you're right." Thanos said as he let out one final sigh.
'It time to go home.' Jason thought as their ride lowered to the ground.
