Chapter 41 - Chapter 41

"It's been a while since I saw you creating a cosplay outfit."

Leaning on the tabe across from him, Lala looked on in interest. Between his activities as a hero, college and spending time with her when he can. Jason didn't have all that much time to dive into his hobbies much lately.

"I don't really have the time and lately there haven't been any worthwhile orders either." he replied. "I guess I will just close down my webpage. It was just a hobby to begin with anyways."

"Then what are you going to do with all your outfits? Storing them away isn't going to happen." Lala curiously asked.

He had at least over fifty just sitting in storage bins. There was no way she wasn't going to allow them to take up a bunch of room. They were all wonderfully crafted too, so it would be a waste to just let them rot away.

Leaning back in his chair while he thought for a moment. "Halloween is coming up in about a month or so. We can just sell them."

"Good. Now I need your help with something?" Lala asked as she stood up proudly. "I want to try making a channel?"

'A channel? What kind of channel is she talking about? I hope it is not one that involves a black couch or poor acting scenarios.' Jason thought to himself as his mind wandered.

He couldn't help but think about it as he is a teenager, but really doubted it. His mind quickly raced to what she was recently watching and it had stunts or trickshots more insane than the last. Some in which he ended up saving more than a few that attempted them and would either seriously injure themselves or others.

"What did you have in mind?" He asked with caution.

"Recently I have been seeing a lot of people pulling off insane or impressive tricks." Lala twirled her fingers. "Since you are much better at it and I really want to try it or see it in person. I was wondering if you will help me."

"Lala." He slowly said.

"Yeah?"

"We make near impossible things in the lab nearly weekly. Not to mention when I take you flying above the city." He explained only for her to laugh.

"This and that are different. What do you think of being a media influencer for your cover? We haven't really decided on your cover separating your daily and hero life." Lala pointed out. "You know, use your super brain and explain a subject while showcasing it or some of our less useful inventions and ideas."

"I suppose that is an idea, but why?" was all he could ask. It was truly a random idea and there was no hint of it coming either. 'I'm also not sure about becoming a broadcaster of sorts.' He thought to himself.

"It's fun?" Lala answered but clearly unsure about it. "Would it help if I offered to cosplay?"

While the urge to say no came to mind, he had the feeling she would do it either way. Since it might happen, he rather be nearby to help out in case then away. Jason just tapped the table for a few minutes and watched as she grew anxiety at his silences.

"Fine, mainly because I am worried about you." He finally said.

Jumping over the table Lala sat on his lap and began kissing him rapidly. Between each kiss she would praise him saying he was the best or happy he agreed.

'I hope I don't regret this.' He thought to himself slightly worried about his future mental health.

After researching and finding a wide space where there is little to no foot traffic. Jason found himself speed reading various manuals on how to drift or various tactical maneuvers. All while he was placing cones down.

Not far away Lala was setting up various camera angles while also testing them out. Once they were in place and turned on where she liked them. They were ready to begin, or ready for a test run.

"Are you ready, Jason?"

"As ready as I want to be." he replied as he started up his car.

Quickly shifting into gear, Jason did a slow drive around the course he set up before stepping on the gas pedal. While the tires squealed at the large force their outputting. The car quickly gained traction and took off like a speeding bullet.

Shifting and braking, he drifted and slid through the course like a professional driver at times. He only ended up taking out a few cones here and there while he was getting the hang of it. After nearly twenty minutes of practice, Lala tinkering with the camera feeds to slightly adjust them. They were ready to begin.

"I'm ready anytime." Lala said in which he just gave her a thumbs up.

'Ha,' Jason mentally sighed.

Racing through it one more time, he wondered how those who practiced for months would feel seeing him learning in twenty minutes. Once he made it through the course, he pulled in for a stop, before shutting the car down and walking over to Lala.

On the screen he saw himself, well his car as the window tints blocked him from appearing. There, it showed him speeding through the track which was fairly impressive. Even more so, as she was doing a bit of touch ups here and there on the video feed.

"Can you do it a few more times Jason?" she asked.

"Ok." was all he could say.

--

While the two were playing around, in a helicarrier. Nick Fury was currently looking at a file as if debating with himself. On the screen a photo of Lala was presented alongside a list of technology and crazy inventions she created. He was debating if it was worth inviting her to work for Shield or not.

While he was tapping his finger on his desk, his lone eyes looked over a few files of those close to her. There on display were the files of Jason, James and Liz without much to note beside the amount of money the men had. Besides being well off, nothing within the description or papers were worth his attention.

"Agent Hills, I got a mission for you." Nick finally decided. "I need you to look into this person for me. She might be a great asset for Shield."
