*Bang!*
The door was slammed out of nowhere, Scaring the shit right out of everyone and had everyone pale in the face.
"What the fuck was that?" One of the girls asked.
Walking up to the door, I peeked out the little window left uncovered by the barricade. Nothing.
"Strange." Is all I mutter.
"Strange what?" Two people ask, both girls. Loraine and Charlotte I think.
"Yeah, what's going on?" A few of the boys echoed. Ken, Dan, and a tall bulky kid named Harrison.
"Well, there's nothing outside the door. You can come and check for yourselves if you want."
Sure enough people took turns stepping right up to gaze out into the hall.
"No point in worrying over stuff we can't answer right now. Everyone, get back to choosing what you want to drop at the zombs."
Even saying that though, I couldn't keep my thoughts away from what had just happened.
'Maybe it's just the start of some weird stuff to come.'
I would find out just how true that would be later on in the new hell of place that our world was turning into.
...
While everyone was still calming down I walked over to the window and peered out to see what we were working with.
'A few scattered ones from what I can see, maybe some more hiding in the bushes or just out of view. Everybody should still be able to at least get one zombie.'
So of course I try to start early because, is it really kill stealing if the other people don't even know it was supposed to be their kill?
Taking the big wooden base of the paper cutter I heft it out over the sill of the window where it proceed to kill the zombie standing under it with a *Crunch!* and some other un-describable noises. Maybe somewhere between a *Splat* and *Squelch.*
*Ding*
*The host has reached Level 2! +5 free stat points. +1 extra stat point put in vault. Achieve a legendary feat to open the vault.*
'Of course. That makes sense, no free extra stats just for doing some mundane and now a common task.'
*Personally Interactive interface will be replaced with Standard Interactive interface in three more levels*
Now that was an important piece of information.
'System you're really changing into a non-feeling, robot like, version of yourself?'
*Yes, you humans are so annoying that the system has decided to change to a more basic, host driven approach.*
'Point taken.'
Well that was gonna change my whole approach to this apocalypse thing.
'Guess I'll have to add, extract as much information from the current system as possible, to my to do list.'
*That would be advised by the system*
With that out of the way I proceeded to continue chucking things at the zombies outside until my next notification came with it.
*Host has achieved level 3*

Already I could feel my mana pool and health points grow. Finished with my own business I looked up to see that some others had also started to throw stuff at the zombies below too. They should get a level or a few depending on how much they do.
This led to some of the girls being bent over the sills too leading to a group of the guys sitting back with the excuse that they were 'strategizing how to most efficiently kill zombies.' Of course, as the only guy to have killed any so far I had to deliver my own experience on this important topic. Life or death... yes! Yes! It was a matter of life or death and utmost importance. Suffice to say the boys on average were gonna get less levels because of the long 'strategy' meeting and the lesser amount of zombies in our little drop zone when it finally did end.
Not that that applied to me of course. I was still level 3 and got to enjoy the vie-... I mean strategize. Sadly or maybe luckily, Sylvie was off to the side and not bending over to throw stuff out the windows at the zombies. Yet somehow she still beat me in level, reaching level 4 during the zombie murdering time. I only learned that because she happened to see me look her direction at the end of the meeting, when incidentally most of the girls had started to look towards the meeting table and abruptly stop their farming. So she decided to come talk to me while the boys started, almost dejectedly, cleaning up the meager amount of zombies left in the area.
"So what strategy did you guys even come up with while staring at all the asses of the girls? It certainly doesn't seem to be all that great with all the moping about the guys are doing right now."
*Cough* *Cough*
"WHA---?"
"Save it unless you're gonna tell me the truth."
"Well in that case maybe some of us got maybe a glimpse here and a glance there but I can swear at least I didn't do it on purpose."
"Uhuh, so what's with the blush and you staring at the ceiling like an idiot."
"It's the honest truth though."
"And why should I believe you?"
"Because..."
"Because why?"
'Might as well man up and commit, the world already ended so there's at least a shot.'
"Because you weren't with the other girls ."
"Oh really~ Mr. Leader's got a crush on sweet little me?"
"Well, yeah. It may not be the best time to confess but hell, there's no time like the present right? And please, just Jack."
"What~? Not Baby or Sweetheart?"
"Well if you're up for it Babe then anything you want."
And that is how the apocalypse led some messed up plans that day and one of the most abrupt and possibly the most serious relationship I'd ever be in.
